This vegan ranch dressing is smooth and creamy, garlicky and herby. Enjoy drizzled over your favourite greens, or as a dip for fresh and crunchy veggies.

1 cup raw cashews
3/4 cup hot water (, plus splashes more if needed)
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 clove garlic
½ tsp sea salt
Pinch pepper
¼ tsp onion powder
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp dried coriander
1 tbsp fresh dill (to sprinkle)

Steps:

  • In a blender, add raw cashews, hot water, lemon juice, maple syrup, garlic, mustard, dried coriander, sea salt, onion powder and a pinch of pepper. Blend everything until smooth and creamy (about 1 minute). Optional to add splashes more water to thin for desired consistency.
  • Pour into a serving bowl and sprinkle with dill, and serve with your favourite veggies. Or, drizzle over your favourite salad greens and toss to combine.

Easy homemade vegan ranch dressing or dip that you can make in minutes.

2/3 cup oil (any neutral-flavored oil like canola - not extra virgin olive oil or other strong flavors.)
1/3 cup PLAIN soy milk (or Ripple milk)
3 tsp white vinegar
1 tsp dry parsley or herb of choice (or 2 tbsp fresh herbs)
1/4 tsp dill (or 1 tsp fresh dill)
¾ tsp garlic powder ( or 1 clove of fresh garlic)
½ tsp salt
2-3 tsp water until desired thickness is reached (or no extra water for dip)
Fresh ground pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Put all the ingredients except for the water into a blender (or immersion blender).
  • Blend for about 30 seconds.
  • Add water a teaspoon at a time, blending between each one until the desired thickness has been reached.
  • Store in an airtight container or bottle in the fridge.

1 cup vegan mayonnaise (I use Vegenaise)
2 teaspoons dried dill or 2 tablespoons of fresh chopped dill
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4-1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt or regular salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 and 1/2 tablespoons dill pickle juice
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to a small bowl ( I usually use a soup bowl) and whisk until combined.
  • Serve right away or let the dressing chill in the fridge for 30 minutes, so the flavours develop even more.
  • Enjoy as a dip with veggies, potato chips, pizza or French fries ( my favourite?). It is also delicious as a salad dressing, and sandwich spread too!
