THANKSGIVING STUFFING (CHEAT! USING STOVE TOP)
Last year I used my method of making turkey/chicken stuffing and used the pre-made packaged mix. My family never knew the difference. Easy and quick with that homemade taste.

Steps:
- Saute onions and celery in butter.
- Sprinkle with poultry seasoning.
- Set aside to cool slightly.
- Toss this mixture into your favorite dry stuffing mix.
- Heat broth and set aside.
- Read directions on your favorite stuffing mix box.
- Add enough hot water to the broth to make up the required liquid needed.
- (Omit butter the recipe calls for as it was already used to saute vegetables.)
- Pour over stuffing/vegetables mixture and mix well.
- Stuff your chicken or turkey. For a side dish place stuffing in a baking dish; cover and bake for 15 to 25 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
EASY STOVE TOP STUFFING SAUTE
This is a wonderful side dish for chicken and turkey dinner we like to drizzle some gravy over the stuffing --- you can also make this using turkey flavor stuffing and use turkey broth or chicken broth. Feel free to add in any other cooked meat or veggies that you desire, I most always add in chopped jalapeno peppers as my family likes spicy! :)

Steps:
- In an extra large fry pan or Dutch oven melt butter and sauté the onions, garlic, celery, and green pepper until soft (about 5-6 minutes).
- Slowly add in the chicken broth, mushrooms (if using) and corn niblets; cover and simmer for about 5-6 minutes.
- Add in black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and add in the two boxes of chicken stuffing mix, and toss with a wooden spoon until the bread crumbs have absorbed the broth.
- Cover with a lid and let stand for 10 minutes.
- If you find it too dry just add in more broth.
- Fluff with a spoon or fork.
- Season with salt if needed and serve.
- Delicious!

SUPER EASY STOVE TOP STUFFING MEATLOAF
This is a very quick and easy meatloaf recipe, where Stove Top Stuffing provides much of the flavor.

Steps:
- In a large mixing bowl put the hamburger meat, eggs, stuffing, broth and salt.
- Mix well.
- Place the mixture in a bread loaf pan.
- Bake at 350F for 60-70 minutes, or until done.
- The last 15 minutes of cooking, spread the ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
- If you don't want to use ketchup, put a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup on top of the meatloaf right before you put it in the oven.
SIMPLE STOVE TOP STUFFING
I originally found this recipe in The Rookie Cook by Jean Paré and adjusted it to reduce the amount of butter and use chicken broth to soften the bread. It is a quick and easy side dish and a good excuse to use up the crusts of your bread loaves (I keep them in the freezer just to use in this dish). We use whole wheat bread and it is still great.

- In a saucepan sauté onion and celery in butter on medium for about 5 minutes until onion is soft. Mix next four ingredients in small bowl and add to onion mixture. Heat and stir for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add bread cubes and stir. Then add chicken broth slowly while stirring. Bread should be moist but not mushy. Fluff with fork to serve.
- If you want to make Simple Baked Stuffing put stuffing into greased 2 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake at 325F for 30 minutes. Can buddy with chicken in oven.
STOVETOP SAUSAGE STUFFING RECIPE
Stovetop sausage stuffing is so easy to make with a box of stuffing. It calls for only 5 ingredients and is one of our favorite stove top stuffing recipes.

- In a large skillet add sausage. Cook for a few minutes until nicely browned. Remove the sausage to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet add celery and onions. Sauté for about 5 minutes or until the veggies are soft.
- Add back the sausage. Then add the stuffing mix and mix well.
- Add chicken broth and simmer until the liquid has boiled down. Serve and enjoy!

- Melt 1 Tablespoon butter in saute pan. Stir in minced onions and celery seed.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix parsley, salt & pepper, sage and thyme. Stir into butter mixture in pan.
- Stir in chicken broth and 1/4 cup butter.
- Once everything is mixed together in pan then add in bread crumbs. Stir to combine and then cover. Remove from heat and let sit 8 - 10 minutes.
