This guacamole has been a hit at our house for years. Great for the Superbowl or any occasion. Sour cream and cream cheese make the guac extra creamy. Spice it up with crushed red pepper.

3 avocados - peeled, pitted and diced
1 tablespoon sour cream
2 (3 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons salsa
1 pinch salt
1 dash ground black pepper
1 dash garlic salt
1 dash onion powder

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the avocados, sour cream, cream cheese and salsa. Blend to desired consistency.
  • In a small bowl mix the salt, pepper, garlic salt and onion powder. Stir into the avocado mixture. Cover and chill in the refrigerator 1/2 hour before serving.

Easy Guacamole image

This Guacamole is quite amazing; easy, yummy and with no additional fat other than the avocado. No need to spend a lot of time chopping the ingredients as the blender will do the job anyway. The key is to add salt and lime juice 'to taste'; a bit more salt makes all the difference to bring out the avocado's flavour. Regular onion will work instead of red onion. It's best to use rubber gloves when working with hot peppers.

2 avocados, peeled (you'll want ripe ones)
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1/2 tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup red onion, chopped
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
1/4 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
1 -2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients in a bowl and blend with hand blender until smooth.
  • Or mush ingredients well with fork if you prefer your guacamole chunky.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or as a side to enchiladas or other Mexican dish.

2 avocados (regular or Haas)
1 garlic cloves, finely chopped or 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 grape tomatoes, finely chopped
1 teaspoon lime juice (fresh OR "bottled")
1 red onion, thinly sliced & finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Slice avacodos in 1/2, remove seeds.
  • Remove flesh into a bowl.
  • Add garlic.
  • Add tomatoes.
  • Add lime juice.
  • Add onion.
  • Add salt.
  • Mash all together with a fork.
  • Open bag of Tostitos corn tortilla chips or "scoops".
  • ENJOY!
  • Adjust seasonings to taste. I don't measure when I make this I just "dump" and go.
  • You may reserve the seed(s) and place in bowl AFTER mixed. Cover tightly with plastic wrap and refridgerate if not using immediately. The seeds help keep the avacodo from turning brown.
