CREAM CHEESE STUFFED JALAPENOS WRAPPED IN BACON

Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos Wrapped in Bacon image

Delicious stuffed jalapeno recipe I got from my sister. Great for parties, especially barbecues. You can cook either in the oven or on the grill, but I prefer the grill. You can also substitute Anaheim peppers for a little less heat.

Provided by abbibaby

Categories     Cheese

Time 30m

Yield 30 peppers, 10-15 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

30 jalapeno peppers (or Anaheim peppers)
2 (16 ounce) packages bacon
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups sun-dried tomatoes, chopped (out of a jar is fine, they don't have to be fresh)
1 tablespoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Wash and remove the seeds of the jalapenos by making a "T" cut in the jalapenos and scooping out the seeds. (A "T" cut is where you cut the pepper horizontal about half way and then in the middle of the slit, you cut a vertical slit forming a "T" cut in the pepper.).
  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sun dried tomatoes, and garlic powder. Using a teaspoon "stuff" the jalapeno with the cream cheese mixture.
  • Wrap jalapeno in bacon and secure with a toothpick. (If you are cooking on the grill remember to soak toothpick in water for 15 minutes before securing pepper with it, to ensure it doesn't catch fire on the grill).
  • Cook on the grill or bake at 450° F for 15 minutes or until bacon is cooked through.
  • Enjoy!

BLUEZY'S STUFFED JALAPENOS WITH BACON

Bluezy's Stuffed Jalapenos with Bacon image

One of my favorite recipes! I love jalapenos and make these when nothing else hits the spot. Topped with sour cream or ranch dressing and chopped fresh chives, this is a great appetizer or snack. Serve with homemade sangria. Also great on the grill.

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

BACON WRAPPED STUFFED HABANEROS / JALAPENOS

Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Habaneros / Jalapenos image

Im sure this recipe has been done many times before, but I started making it several years ago with some friends. Simple, though a little bit labor intensive, and, if you like hot peppers, delicious!! We like spicy, so I sometimes substitute a few habaneros to heat it up a little more. (Not for everyone!!!!!!)

Provided by bwhelms1

Categories     Peppers

Time 45m

Yield 20-24 peppers, 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

10 -12 jalapenos or 10 -12 habaneros
1 (16 ounce) package bacon
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese

Steps:

  • Pre-Heat oven to 325.
  • Start by washing the jalapenos, cutting the stem off, and then cutting them in half lengthwise.
  • Next, devein and remove the seeds. ( I leave in for extra heat)
  • Now you are ready to stuff the peppers with cream cheese. Using a knife cut about a quarter of an inch slice of cream cheese, short side, and then smooth it into the pepper.
  • After this step is completed, you are ready to wrap them in bacon. I usually cut about half of the pack of bacon in half and use the full strips for the larger peppers. Now just start wrapping. If wrapped from one end to the other moderately tight, no toothpicks are needed to hold the bacon on.
  • This method should use just about all of the cream cheese and all of the bacon.
  • Now put them in the oven and bake for about 25 to 30 minutes. Check them periodically as oven temps vary. They are ready when the bacon is firm, not crisp and the cheese is slightly brown. Enjoy!

EASY CAJUN STYLE BACON WRAPPED JALEPENO POPPERS

Easy Cajun Style Bacon Wrapped Jalepeno Poppers image

This recipe was given to me by my college roommate and soul sister shandi. My gun powder seasoning can be substituted for cajun seasoning

Provided by GingerlyJ

Categories     Pork

Time 50m

Yield 6 peppers, 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 jalapenos
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons chopped chives or 2 tablespoons spring onions
4 slices bacon
1 tablespoon cajun seasoning

Steps:

  • Add toothpicks to warm water for 20-30 minutes before baking or grilling.
  • Slice each jalapeno in half, lengthwise. Then, using a small spoon, scrape out and discard all seeds and any white membrane.
  • Stir together the cream cheese and chives or spring onion and cajun seasoning in a small bowl. Then, use a spoon to fill each pepper-half - be generous, here.
  • Now, cut the bacon slices into three 1 1/2-inch pieces, and then wrap one piece of bacon around each stuffed pepper-half then slide a toothpick through the bacon and pepper so the bacon is secure.
  • Heat oven to 375 degrees F then line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Place stuffed and wrapped peppers, filling side facing up, onto the baking sheet and bake until the bacon is crispy and glistening and the peppers are tender, about 25 minutes.

PAULA DEEN'S BACON WRAPPED STUFFED JALAPENOS

Paula Deen's Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Jalapenos image

A Paula Deen recipe posted for safekeeping. Peppers can be stuffed up to one day ahead. Store, covered, in the refrigerator. Bake just before serving. After Chef Jean's review I have made and revised this.

Provided by WiGal

Categories     < 60 Mins

Time 35m

Yield 16 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

16 fresh jalapeno peppers
2/3 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 cup frozen corn, thawed
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/3 cup cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin
8 slices bacon, cut in half (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • She says line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. But I would set them on a baking rack in the rimmed baking sheet to get them out of the grease although they are harder to get out that way.
  • Cut a lengthwise slit down center of each pepper.
  • Cut a crosswise slit at top of each pepper to form a T.
  • Carefully remove seeds from inside of peppers, leaving peppers intact.
  • In a large bowl, combine black beans, corn, both cheeses, chili powder, and cumin.
  • Spoon about 1 1/2 tablespoons bean mixture evenly into each jalapeno.
  • Fold bacon half slice around each jalapeno.
  • Secure with wooden picks, if needed.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until bacon is cooked through.
  • Serve immediately.
