Drink Essentials Christmas Cosmopolitan Food

COSMOPOLITAN

Steps:

• 1. Fill a cocktail glass with ice to chill
• 2. Pour the Grey Goose L'Orange vodka, Cointreau, cranberry juice and the juice of half a lime into a cocktail shaker 3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 20 seconds 4. Empty your glass of the ice and strain in the cocktail 5. Cut a piece of orange peel about the size of your thumb. Be careful not to bend it at this stage 6. Hold the piece of orange peel between finger and thumb over the glass, and use a match to gently warm it for about 20 seconds 7. Then bend the peel so it releases oil onto the lighted match, igniting a flame which will settle on the surface of the drink & drop peel into glass

COSMOPOLITAN COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Combine vodka, lime juice, triple sec, and cranberry juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, cover and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
• Garnish with a lime wedge.

CHRISTMAS COSMOPOLITAN

Steps:

• Put all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker or jar.
• Shake well to thoroughly combine the ingredients and ensure they are chilled. Strain into a martini glass or another glass of your choice.
• Serve with a garnish if you wish. I like orange peel, a twist of lime and sometimes a sprig of rosemary for a festive touch!

CHRISTMAS COSMOPOLITAN

Steps:

• Mix the vodka and ginger wine in a jug. Stir in the cranberry juice, lime juice and some sliced stem ginger. Garnish with lime zest, if you like.

CHRISTMAS COSMO

Steps:

• Fill a cocktail shaker with ice; add vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, and lime juice. Cover and shake. Strain cocktail into a martini glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and cranberries.

CHRISTMAS COSMOPOLITAN

Steps:

• To make the Rosemary infused vodka, coarsely chop 1 bunch of rosemary and put it in a fifth of vodka overnight and then strain out the rosemary.
• To make the drink, shake all the liquids in a cocktail shaker and then strain into a martini glass.
• Garnish with 1 cranberry and a little sprig of rosemary which will float at the top of the glass and look very Christmas-y.

DRINK ESSENTIALS: CHRISTMAS COSMOPOLITAN

Steps:

• 1. PREP/PREPARE
• 2. Gather your ingredients (mise en place).
• 3. If you are using the cranberries, add them to the freezer about an hour before serving.
• 4. Combine the salt and sugar in a small dish.
• 5. Wet the rim of the glasses with the lime wedge, and then dip into the salt/sugar mixture.
• 6. Combine the drink ingredients into a pitcher and stir to combine.
• 7. PLATE/PRESENT
• 8. You have two choices for serving. You can add the drink mixture to a blender with ice, and serve it up like a slushy, or you can add some ice cubes to a glass and then pour over the ice. If you are using them, garnish with some of the frozen cranberries and mint. Enjoy.
• 9. Keep the faith, and keep cooking.

COSMOPOLITAN COCKTAIL

Steps:

• Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
• To make the garnish: hold a 3cm round piece of orange zest about 10cm above your cosmo and very carefully wave it over a lit match or lighter flame. Bend the outer edge of the zest in towards the flame so that the orange oils are released, then drop the zest into your drink.
