Steps:
- Slice or dice sweet potatoes and toss in a stainless steel steamer. Add steamer into a medium pot and add water, make sure water does not surpass the steamers bottom surface. Cook until tender or for 8-10 minutes. Steaming veggies helps retain its nutrients for pups and humans too!
- Using a food processor, add cooked and cooled sweet potatoes, peanut butter, banana, and oats. Process until well combined, don't over process.
- In a large bowl, add sweet potato mixture and add whole wheat flour. Combine and knead the dough.
- Move to a clean surface where the dough can be rolled out. While completing this step you can start preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly flour surface and dough's surface. Roll the dough to desired thickness (1/4-1/2 inch is ideal) and begin cutting out shapes with desired cookie cutter.
- Place dog treats onto a prepared baking sheet. For small treats bake for 8-10 minutes, medium treats can be baked for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Place baked dog treats on a cookie cooling rack and let cool for 15-30 minutes and let your pup enjoy immediately after.
- SERVINGS: approximately 3 cups worth of dog treats!

- In a large bowl, combine the chickpea flour, puree pumpkin, and peanut butter with your hand and knead it until it forms a dough ball. If the dough feels very sticky, keep adding chickpea flour 1 tablespoon at a time until the dough is smooth and not sticky. It should be the consistency of play-doh.
- These can be stored in room temperature for 1-2 months, as long as there is good airflow to them. You don't want to put them in the fridge or an airtight container since it can create and trap moisture and cause them to go bad faster.
