From the first time I tasted this salad dressing, it has been a favorite at our house, served almost exclusively. It's quick to prepare, and it's easily made "light" by using fat-free or light mayo. -Patty Brewer, Kansas City, Missouri

6 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons honey
Assorted salad greens, tomatoes and croutons

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, mustard and honey; mix well. Store in refrigerator. Serve over salad.

This is so easy to make. The kids love to eat it with their chicken strips. It's good on turkey, chicken and ham sandwiches too! This recipe is for a sauce. To make a salad dressing just add 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 Tablespoon of vinegar. You might even decide to add a Tablespoon of lemon juice to use it as a sauce. YUMMY! For a little more spice add some more mustard powder, or for a milder sauce add less.

2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
horseradish, to taste
2 tablespoons orange juice (approx.)

Steps:

  • Whisk together all ingredients except orange juice; if you're unsure as to how much horseradish to use, start with 1 heaping tsp and taste; add more if you wish.
  • Thin dressing to pouring consistency with orange juice.
  • Chill for at least 3 hours before using to allow flavours to blend; whisk or shake before pouring.
