This made a very delicious, quick, easy and FUN dessert! The leftovers thicken and stay creamy. What a great pretzel dip the next day! This recipe came from Tyler Florence of Food TV.

Ingredients

16 ounces chocolate, broken into pieces (I used Dove milk chocolate)
1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup caramel topping
3 tablespoons hazelnut syrup (I used Bailey's) or 3 tablespoons your fav your favorite liqueur (I used Bailey's)

Steps:

Place all ingredients into fondue pot and stir constantly over low heat til melted and smooth.
Do not allow to bubble.
Dipping suggestions are strawberries, marshmallows, pound cake, maraschino cherries, bananas, raisins, etc.
When this cools, it doesn't harden but thickens and stays creamy.
So, use your imagination for the leftovers.
It made a wonderful pretzel and nut dip the next day.
It would frost brownies when cooled too!

Easy to make rich and decadent mocha fondue or dip using chocolate chips. You can use instant coffee dissolved in hot water for the brewed coffee if you like. Fresh fruit and chunks of cake make great dippers. Prepare the apple and banana chunks just before serving, and dip them in lemon juice to prevent browning.

2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
1 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tablespoons strong brewed coffee
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks, beaten
poundcake or angel food cake, cubed
apple, cut into chunks
banana, sliced
fresh strawberries
fresh pineapple chunks or canned pineapple chunk, drained

Steps:

In a heavy saucepan, melt the chocolate chips, butter, cream, brewed coffee and salt.
Stir 1/2 cup of the mixture into the beaten egg yolks to temper; return all to the pan.
Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture reaches 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
Transfer to a fondue pot and keep warm.
Serve with cake and fruit for dipping.

In a saucepan, combine the chocolate, milk and cream and heat on low, stirring often, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Don't let it come to a boil; keep it on low heat.
Once melted, stir in the vanilla extract. If needed, stir in heavy cream or milk a tablespoon at a time to adjust for a thinner consistency. Pour the mixture into a fondue pot or small slow cooker to keep warm while serving.
Serve with dippers of your choice. We love: marshmallows, vanilla cookies, strawberries, rice krispie treats cut in little squares, bananas.
Any extra chocolate leftovers (??) will keep well in the refrigerator - just reheat on low to have yourself another chocolate fondue experience.
