Debs Warm Mushroom Dip Food

WARM MUSHROOM SPREAD

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
• Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the mushrooms and onion, and cook until tender. Sprinkle with the flour. Reduce heat to low, and continue cooking 5 minutes. Mix in sour cream and lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Transfer to a small casserole dish, and top with Parmesan cheese.
• Bake 15 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbly.

THE MUSHROOM DIP

Steps:

• Finely chop mushrooms in a food processor or blender; transfer to a bowl. Mix walnuts, mayonnaise, garlic, tahini, salt, and pepper with the mushrooms until evenly combined. Serve dip alongside pita bread.

DEB'S WARM MUSHROOM DIP

Steps:

• Saute onion and garlic in butter and bacon fat for 1 minute. Add mushrooms and cook until most liquid is gone.
• Add flour, pepper, cream cheese, sauces and mustard. Stir until cheese melts.
• Remove from heat, add sour cream and bacon.
• Pack in shallow oven dish. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes. Serve with crackers or slices of french baguette.

UNSTUFFED MUSHROOM DIP

Steps:

• Combine the mushrooms, Monterey Jack cheese, and bacon.
• Stir in the sour cream, blending well.
• Blend in the Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.
• Place the mixture in a 1-quart casserole and top with the bread crumbs.
• Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted.
• Place in a chafing dish and serve hot.
• SUGGESTED DIPPERS: Tomatoes, bell peppers, chili peppers, breadsticks.

FRESH MUSHROOM DIP

Steps:

• Place mushrooms and onions in melted butter in a 1-quart microwave bowl; cook on medium high heat in microwave for 3 to 4 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in flour, blending well. Gradually stir in cream and other ingredients.
• Cook on medium high for 3 minutes or until thickened. Stir once or twice during cooking.
• Serve with crisp crackers or celery.

MUSHROOM DIP

Steps:

• Puree the garlic, shallot, mushrooms, salt and pepper in a food processor and then heat the puree in a large, heavy-bottomed pot over medium heat. Add the soup. When it's warm, slowly stir in the cream cheese and heat until it melts. Remove from heat; add the Tabasco and more salt and pepper if needed. Serve warm with prosciutto wrapped bread sticks or tortilla chips.

MUSHROOM & GARLIC DIP

Steps:

• Heat the oil in a frypan and add the mushrooms and salt.
• Cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes or until very soft, and all the liquid has evaporated.
• Cool.
• Place this mixture and the remaining ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
• Season to taste with salt and pepper, and add more lemon juice if you wish.
