DARK CHOCOLATE SAUCE
You don't have to cross chocolate off your dessert menu, thanks to recipes like this one from Deanne Bagley, "It's simple to satisfy you sweet tooth by draping low-fat pound cake or fat-free ice cream with this rich glossy sauce," she writes from Bath, New York. "Use it to make hot chocolate, too...or as a dip for fresh fruit."

If you like a sweet chocolate sauce this is for you. It has been used over ice cream, angel food cake, brownies, and spoons! It's easy to make and stores well in the refrigerator. I usually do a double recipe and store in the refrigerator until we are out. Enjoy.

- Combine chocolate, cocoa, sugar and coffee granules in a food processor. Process until finely ground, about 1 minute.
- Stir together water and corn syrup in a small saucepan; bring just to a boil over medium-high heat. With the food processor running, add the syrup mixture, then vanilla. Continue processing until the sauce is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. (The sauce will seem thin, but will thicken during cooling.) Transfer to a container and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours. Stir well before serving; if the sauce seems too thick, stir in a little water.
