Number Of Ingredients 4

1 (4-5 pound) pork roast
1 (16 oz) jar peperoncini pepper, undrained
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp Italian seasoning

Steps:

  • Place the roast in your crock pot.
  • In a bowl, combine the other 3 ingredients together and pour over the top of the roast.
  • Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • Remove the roast from the pot and shred. Remove most of the cooking liquid from the crock pot. Place the roast back in the crock pot. Cover again and allow it so cook for 30 more minutes to incorporate the juices.

Peperochini Pork Provolone Melt: Slice a crusty bun in half, line with the pork and provolone cheese. Melt in the oven and serve.

1 (4-5 pound) pork roast
1 (16 oz) jar peperoncini pepper, undrained

Steps:

  • 1. Salt and pepper all sides of your roast.
  • 2. Heat a large skillet up over medium high heat. When the pan is hot, add the roast and sear it until golden brown on all sides.
  • 3. Place the roast in your crock pot.
  • 4. Mix all the other ingredients together in a glass measuring cup and pour over the top of the roast.
  • 5. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4 hours.
  • 6. When it's cooked through, shred the roast up with two forks, cover again and allow it so cook for 30 more minutes to incorporate the juices.
  • 7. Serve and enjoy!

3 -5 lbs beef roast (any inexpensive cut will work)
1 (4 ounce) package Lipton Onion Soup Mix
1 (14 ounce) jar yellow pepperoncini peppers
1 (10 ounce) can Swanson chicken broth
1 (10 ounce) can swanson beef broth

Steps:

  • Place beef roast in crock pot.
  • Pour Onion soup mix, beef, and chicken broths over roast.
  • Cut tops and stems off each pepperoncini pepper, and return them to their original jar in the juice.
  • Pour entire jar of pepperoncini peppers w/juice over beef roast and mix with large spoon to blend soups.
  • Cover crock pot and cook on low for 11 hours.
  • (note - 11 hours, not 8 hours like most recipes)This is important to the success of this roast.
  • The last 1/2 hour of cooking time, take roast out of crock pot and "shred" the meat apart with a knife, and return meat to the juices in crock pot for 30 minutes.
  • Serve on your favorite bun or hoagie roll, with extra juice on the side.
  • Serving Suggestion: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over beef sandwich and microwave for 35 seconds before serving, then spoon additional au jus over the bread!

2 tablespoons green peppercorns, drained
3 tablespoons sweet-hot mustard
1 teaspoon horseradish
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 lbs lean pork roast
1 cup apple cider
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 thinly sliced apple

Steps:

  • Place a meat rack in the bottom of crock pot.
  • Mix together peppercorns, mustard, horseradish, lemon peel and salt.
  • Place pork on meat rack and rub sauce all over the pork.
  • Pour cider around the pork.
  • Cook on Low for 9-10 hours.
  • Remove pork from crockpot along with the meat rack.
  • Place pork on a platter covered with aluminum foil.
  • Turn crockpot to high.
  • Combine water and cornstarch and mix into crockpot.
  • Cook for an additional 30 minutes or until sauce thickens.
  • Stir occasionally.
  • Slice roast and place sliced apples around the platter.
  • Serve with sauce.
