Crock Pot Ham With Brown Sugar Food

CROCK POT HAM WITH BROWN SUGAR

Steps:

• Coat a large 7-8 quart crock pot with cooking spray.
• Place the ham cut side down in the crock pot.
• Rub the brown sugar all over the ham, then pour the maple syrup and pineapple juice over the top.
• Cook for 3-4 hours on low heat, or until a thermometer registers 140 degrees F when inserted into the thickest part of the ham.
• Transfer the ham to a serving platter.
• Pour the liquid from the bottom of the crock pot into a medium sized pan.
• Place the pan over medium-high heat and bring the liquid to a simmer.
• Cook for 6-8 minutes or until just thickened,
• Pour the sauce over the ham. Decorate the serving platter with fresh herbs if desired, then serve.

CROCK-POT BROWN SUGAR HAM RECIPE

Steps:

• In a small bowl combine the brown sugar and ground cloves and stir to mix.
• Spread 1/2 of the brown sugar mixture on the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
• Place ham, cut side down, into slow cooker on top of the brown sugar.
• Rub the remaining brown sugar mixture all over the rest of the ham.
• Cover and cook on LOW for 4 hours.
• Turn slow cooker off and let sit for 30 minutes so that the ham can reabsorb some of the juices that will come out when cooked for a moister meat.
• Carefully remove ham from slow cooker and transfer to a serving platter. Cut ham off bone, serve and enjoy!

SLOW COOKER HAM

Steps:

• Spread about 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar on the bottom of the slow cooker crock. Place the ham flat side down into the slow cooker - you might have to trim it a little to make it fit. Use your hands to rub the remaining brown sugar onto the ham. Cover, and cook on Low for 8 hours.
