Chops browned, then baked with hashbrowns, onion rings and Cheddar cheese in a sour cream sauce. Very tasty and easy. I've even made it an 'all-in-one' dinner by adding a can of drained green beans to the potato mixture before pouring it into the baking dish. Hooray for spuds 'n' chops!

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6 pork chops
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of celery soup
½ cup milk
½ cup sour cream
salt and pepper to taste
1 (20 ounce) package frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 ½ cups French-fried onions, divided

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add pork chops and saute until browned. Remove from skillet and drain on paper toweling.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl mix together soup, milk, sour cream and salt and pepper to taste. Stir in potatoes, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/2 cup onions. Mix together and spread mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange pork chops over potato mixture.
  • Cover dish and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until internal temperature of pork has reached 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Remove cover; top with remaining cheese and onions and bake uncovered for 5 more minutes.

6 pork chops
6 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
1 medium onion, sliced
10.5 oz cream of mushroom with roasted garlic soup
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 1/2 cup sharp cheddar, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375F degrees.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, season the chops with salt and pepper. Brown both sides of the pork chops. Remove and set aside. Add onions to the skillet and saute about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Whisk together the soup, milk, cream, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
  • Prepare a 9x13 casserole dish with cooking spray. Spread half of the onions on the bottom, layer 1/2 of the potatoes over the onions, salt, and pepper to taste, sprinkle 1/2 of the cheese over the potatoes.
  • Place chops on top and spoon about 2 tablespoons of sauce over each chop. Place remaining onions and potatoes over the pork chops.
  • Pour remaining sauce evenly over the potatoes making sure some of the mixture seeps down through the cracks.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  • Remove foil, sprinkle remaining cheese and bake another 30 minutes.
  • Allow to rest for 10 to 15 minutes and serve.

1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 can (16 ounces) whole potatoes, drained

2 cloves garlic, sliced
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon pork fat, or butter
1 1/2 pounds/750 g potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 onion, sliced
4 slices bacon
1/2 teaspoon juniper berries
1/2 cup/125 ml white wine, cider or beer
1/2 cup/125 beef or chicken stock
A handful of chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 325 degrees F/160 degrees C.
  • Cut slivers in the pork chops and slide in slices of garlic. Heat the pork fat or butter in a pan on high heat. Sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper and brown them, about 3 minutes per side.
  • Arrange half the potatoes and onions in a casserole. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and lay the chops on top. Scatter over the bacon and juniper berries. Cover with the remaining potatoes and onions. Sprinkle with salt and pepper again. Pour over the wine. Cut a piece of parchment to fit over the potatoes and pork chops and lay it in on top.   • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  • In a large skillet, over medium heat, heat oil until it shimmers or when a drop of water flicked in it dances.
  • Brown pork chops on both sides in the oil, 4-5 minutes per side.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Peel and chop up potatoes and place in a large bowl.
  • Dice the green pepper and add it to the potatoes.

6 medium potatoes, peeled & sliced 1/4" thick
2 medium sweet onions, sliced
pinch(es) salt & pepper to taste
2 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 can(s) cream, divided (soup can)
6 pork chops (*see note)
a few pinch(es) house seasoning blend or similar (*see note)
dash(es) smoked paprika

Steps:

  • Use butter to grease a 9"x13" casserole dish; set aside.
  • Peel and slice potatoes (I keep slices in bowl of water until ready to use to prevent browning.)
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, mix to combine contents of two cans of cream of mushroom soup and half of the cream (1/4 can.)
  • Pat sliced potatoes with paper towel to remove excess moisture; place sliced potatoes in an even layer in prepared casserole dish.
  • Scatter sliced onions over potatoes, then drizzle with remaining cream. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Lightly season each side of pork chops with house seasoning blend; place chops in a single layer on top of the potatoes and onions.
  • Spread soup mixture evenly over all, then lightly sprinkle with a little smoked paprika.
  • Cover with foil. Bake in preheated 375 degree F oven for one hour, then remove foil and bake for an additional 30 to 45 minutes (40 minutes in my oven.)

1 medium onion, chopped

1 (24 ounce) package o'brien frozen potatoes, thawed

Steps:

  • Brown chops in greased skillet.
  • Sprinkle with seasoned salt and set aside.
  • Combine soup, milk, sour cream, pepper and seasoned salt.
  • Stir in potatoes, 1/2 C cheese and 1/2 of the onion.
  • Spoon mixture in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  • Arrange pork chops over potatoes.
  • Bake, covered at 350 for 40 minutes.
  • Top with remaining cheese and onions; bake, uncovered for 5 more minutes.

1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 pounds hash browns (thawed if using frozen)
1 cup French fried onions
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees, spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray. Sear pork chops in a small amount of oil, in a skillet, over medium-high heat. (sprinkle with seasoning salt) Whisk together soup, sour cream, milk and salt and pepper. Fold in hash browns, and spread into the bottom of the pan. Place seared pork chops on top. Cover and bake for 45 minutes. Remove cover, sprinkle with cheese and French onions, bake another 10 minutes longer.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Kosher salt and pepper
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 medium onion (sliced)
3 tablespoons ketchup
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Heat the oil in a skillet or sauté pan over medium-high heat; add the pork chops and sear, turning to brown both sides.
  • Season the chops with salt and pepper and drain off any excess fat.
  • Transfer the seared pork chops to a baking dish if the skillet is not oven safe.

Juicy, tender Baked Cream of Mushroom Pork Chops. Enjoy these pork chops with flavorful mushroom gravy over rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 onion (chopped)
3 garlic cloves (minced)
2 cups baby bella mushrooms (chopped)
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 cups oat milk (or regular milk)
4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons avocado oil

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, and mushrooms and cook until they're tender.
  • Add the salt, pepper, and flour and stir until the vegetables are coated. Cook for two more minutes.
  • Slowly pour in the chicken broth broth and milk, whisking constantly to incorporate. Cook for about 10 minutes or until the liquid is thick and bubbly.
  • While the soup is thickening and cooling start preparing the pork chops.
  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Sprinkle the pork chops with the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Heat oil in a cast iron pan and then brown the pork chops on both sides to get a nice sear, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Place the seared pork chops into an oven safe dish or keep in the cast iron pan and cover with the cream of mushroom soup.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops has reached 145 degrees F.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or as desired.
