AVOCADO BEAN DIP

Avocado Bean Dip image

LAYERED AVOCADO BEAN DIP

Layered Avocado Bean Dip image

I grew up in Northern California, and I miss the flavors from home all the time. I made up this dip to combine some of my favorite things like avocados, artichokes, and almonds and it's a big favorite at parties! Sourdough bread is another California favorite for serving, but it works really well with pita chips or even just normal tortilla chips, too. —Elisabeth Larsen, Pleasant Grove, Utah

CREAMY AVOCADO DIP

Creamy Avocado Dip image

Think of this dip as the creamy, tangy cousin to guacamole. The Parmesan may seem out of place, but it's a stand-in for hard-to-find Mexican cheese and is the secret ingredient. Serve it with tortilla chips or veggies, or on the side with grilled chicken or steak.

CREAMY BEAN DIP WITH TOMATO-AVOCADO TOPPING

Creamy Bean Dip With Tomato-Avocado Topping image

This was inspired in part by a bean dip recipe from Rosarita's. I decided to try a cross between the bean dip and a layer dip by using the fresh salsa-based topping. It went over quite well here :) Adjust to your preferred spiciness level by changing the heat of the salsa you use! The use of pepperjack cheese is also a delicious way to kick up the heat.
