This is delicious yet easy to make. Best of all, it can be made several days ahead since it will keep for 3 weeks refrigerated or up to 3 months frozen.

CRANBERRY WALNUT RELISH II
I inherited this recipe from my Mom. It is assigned to me every year along with the relish tray. I am no great cook, so you can be sure it's very easy. It's so great, it's the only cranberry dish we serve!

CRANBERRY WALNUT RELISH
This is a wonderful cranberry sauce for you Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. It is easy to prepare and so much better than what you get from a can. The fresher your cranberries the better. I have found that older cranberries are more bitter and take more sugar to get the right flavor.

CRANBERRY RELISH
This recipe comes to us from of Mina Kerr of Wheaton, Illinois. In this no-cook relish, tart cranberries borrow a bit of sweetness from apples and oranges, while walnuts give it a sweet pesto-like consistency.

CRANBERRY RELISH
This is my mother-in-law's recipe and as far as my husband and son are concerned, it is the most important part of thanksgiving dinner. It's nice to serve this in a glass bowl to show off the festive red color. Preparation time does not include overnight refrigeration.

Steps:
- Chop or grind cranberries, orange (with rind) and apple (with peel). Make sure you do this in such a way as to conserve all of the juice.
- You can use a food processor or one of the old metal food grinders that clamp to your table - mine drips horribly, but if you have kids helping, it's lots of fun for them to turn the crank and hear the cranberries pop. You could of course chop it all by hand with a knife, but you'll want to chop everything very finely.
- Place fruits and their juices in a serving dish/bowl that will hold 8-10 cups.
- Add diced celery, nuts and crushed pineapple with juice.
- Dissolve jello in recommended amount of boiling water (2 cups), and add to the fruit/nut mixture.
- Depending on how juicy your fruit is, you may not need to add any cold water to the mixture. If you think it will need it, don't add more than 1 cup.
- Depending on the tartness of your fruits, you may or may not want to add some sugar, perhaps 1/2 cup. (I just taste it before putting it in the fridge to set and add sugar if it seems too tart.).
- Refrigerate for several hours till set(overnight is good).

CRANBERRY SAUCE WITH WALNUTS
Traditional cranberry sauce is nice, but this jazzed-up version is several steps above. It travels well, and all the women in my family serve it. The apricot preserves, lemon and toasted walnuts make it different. -Dee Buckley, Salado, Texas

- Preheat oven to 350°. Toast mustard seeds in a dry small saucepan over medium-low heat, rolling around in pan often, until seeds start to pop, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add shallot, chile, currants, maple syrup, vinegar, allspice, and ½ tsp. salt (mixture will sputter a bit). Stir well to dissolve salt. Let sit until currants are plumped and mixture is cool, 15–20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, toast walnuts on a rimmed baking sheet, tossing halfway through, until golden brown, 8–10 minutes. Let cool.
- Pulse walnuts and cranberries in a food processor until very coarsely chopped but with a few whole cranberries in the mix, about 5 short pulses. Transfer to a large bowl and work in shallot mixture. Cover and let sit at least 30 minutes.
