1 whole large (or 2 small) onions
2 sticks butter (lots and lots of butter)
2 sticks butter (lots and lots of butter)
2 to 3 pounds cube steak (tenderized round steak that's been extra tenderized)
Seasoned salt, such as Lawry's seasoned salt (or similar seasoned salt)
1/2 cups (approximately) Worcestershire sauce
Hot sauce, such as Tabasco
4 whole French/deli rolls (Earthgrains are best!)

Steps:

  • Slice the onions and cook in 1/4 stick butter until soft and light brown. Remove and set aside.
  • Slice the cube steak against the grain. Sprinkle with seasoning salt.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons butter over high heat (in same skillet) until melted and beginning to brown. Add the meat in a single layer. Cook one side until brown, and then flip and cook until brown, about a minute on both sides.
  • Add 1/2 cup (at least) Worcestershire sauce, 5 to 6 shakes hot sauce and 2 tablespoons butter. Add the cooked onions. Stir to combine.
  • Butter the halved French rolls and brown in a skillet.
  • To assemble, lay the bottom half of a French roll on a plate. Place the meat mixture, followed by a spoonful of juice from the pan. Top with other half of roll, cut in half and devour!

6 frozen french toast, slices or 6 waffles
4 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
6 slices bacon, cooked (broken in half)
3 tablespoons salsa
3 process american cheese slices
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Prepare the French toast according to package directions. Set aside.
  • Stir together eggs and milk.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat; add egg mixture, and cook, stirring constantly, until soft scrambled.
  • Place 3 French toast slices on a baking sheet; top evenly with bacon, scrambled eggs, salsa, and cheese.
  • Sprinkle evenly with salt and pepper.
  • Top with remaining French toast slices, pressing down gently on sandwiches.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes.

  • Start the barbecue. Remove the pork chops from the package and pat them dry with a paper towel. Season both sides of them with salt, pepper, granulated garlic, and dried rosemary. Drizzle a little bit of olive oil onto the pork chops and rub the seasoning in. Set aside.
  • If you haven’t already, cook the bacon. In another skillet, add the olive oil and heat over medium high heat. Add the onions and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the onions are soft, turning down the heat to medium when the just start to soften. We are not looking for crispy onions so you want to cook them a little lower.
  • At this point, the pork chops can go on the grill if you are working a two man job here. If it’s just you cooking, finish this step fully before putting the chops on the grill. When the onions are very soft and caramelized, add the BBQ sauce and a sprinkling of granulated garlic. Give a good stir and let cook for about 3 minutes. Add the chopped, crispy bacon. Mix well and set aside.
  • Grill the pork chops on the BBQ, until done to your desired temperature. Some people do not like pink at all. I can handle a little pink, which is OK to eat despite what your mom might have told you. If you have a meat thermometer, this is your best friend. Just cook until the internal temp in the thickest part of the meat reads 145, flipping half way through. If you don’t have a BBQ, you can also cook these in a skillet that can transfer to an oven (400 temp for about 10-15 minutes). When you flip the pork, wait a few minutes to cook the other side of the pork and until they are close to being done before adding the cheese. Remove from the grill.
