These cookies are similar to Anzac biscuits, but are not as hard. They are very quick to make, and go down well with a cup of tea.

Steps:
- Boil butter or margarine and syrup together. Add soda. You should end up with a frothy mixture after soda is added. Stir in coconut, flour, sugar, and oats, and stir well. Press mixture lightly into a large baking tray.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 minutes. Cool, and cut into bars.

This is a recipe I received in an email - thought I would share. Just in time for Christmas. Hope you enjoy!!

Steps:
- Sample the Cuervo to check quality.
- Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again, to be sure it is of the highest quality,.
- pour o ne level cup and drink.
- Turn on the electric mixer.
- Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl.
- Add one peastoon of sugar
- Beat again.
- At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still ok, try another cup just in case.
- Turn off the mixerer thingy.
- Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.
- Pick the frigging fruit off the floor.
- Mix on the turner .
- If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaters just pry it loose with a d rewscriver.
- Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.
- Next, sift two cups of salt, or something.
- Who geeves a sheet.
- Check the Jose Cuervo.
- Add one table.
- Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink.
- Whatever you can find.
- Greash the oven.
- Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.
- Don't forget to beat off the turner.
- Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the wishdasher.

I got this recipe from my sister in law and these are so yummy and gooey and good!! I am not sure where she got the recipe but thought I would share it with all of you. Whenever we have a family function she always brings these and we all run to get some because they don't last long! These do go in a 9x13 but I sometimes put them in a 8 1/2x11 to make them a tad thicker and gooeyer but the choice is yours, if you do use a 8 1/2 x 11 be sure to add a few minutes to the cooking time to make sure they are done in the middle.. You will love these! These would be a great treat for the hunters to come back home to, or the kids home from school. Please note * you can use whatever nuts your family likes or leave them out it is your choice.*
