Italian sausage, bacon and pepperoni star in a hearty casserole that's sure to satisfy.

1 lb uncooked ziti or other tubular pasta
1/2 lb bulk Italian sausage
1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 cans (15 oz each) pizza sauce
8 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1/2 package (3.5-oz size) sliced pepperoni
2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend (8 oz)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 3-quart casserole with cooking spray. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package using minimum cook time. Return to saucepan.
  • Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, cook and stir sausage, onion, bell pepper and garlic over medium-high heat about 7 minutes or until sausage is no longer pink and onion is softened. Stir in pizza sauce, bacon and pepperoni. Pour mixture over cooked pasta; stir. Spoon half of pasta mixture (about 4 cups) into casserole. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheese. Spoon remaining pasta mixture on top.
  • Bake 30 minutes; top with remaining 1 cup of cheese. Bake 5 to 10 minutes longer or until hot and cheese is melted and bubbly.

1 can (15 ounces) pizza sauce
8 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
1 package (3-1/2 ounces) sliced pepperoni, quartered
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until heated through.

1 lb bow tie pasta
1 lb mild pork sausage
1 large onion, medium size chopped
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce (I used Bertolliâ s Mushroom and Garlic)
1 lb cubed cooked ham
1/2-1 lb of sliced pepperoni
3 (8 ounce) bags of shredded mozzarella cheese
6 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon dried oregano

Steps:

  • Cook pasta in boiling water until al dent é.
  • Cook sausage, garlic powder and oregano with onions until the juices run clear.
  • In a lightly greased 9x13x3 inch pan, pour a small amount of sauce to lightly coat bottom.
  • Layer ingredients in the order listed below.
  • 1st layer-1/3 of the pasta, 1/3 remaining sauce, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, 2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese, sausage and onions.
  • 2nd layer-1/2 of the remaining pasta, 1/2 remaining sauce, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, 2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese, ham.
  • 3rd layer-all remaining pasta, all remaining sauce, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, 2 Tablespoons parmesan cheese, all the pepperoni(completely covering the entire top with pepperoni).
  • Bake at 375°F for 40 minutes.
  • Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

  • Meanwhile, when the squash is done baking, let it cool until it’s easy to handle. Next, run a fork through the flesh – long spaghetti-like strings should appear and easily separate from the squash. Scrape all the stringy flesh from the shells and add to a large mixing bowl (should be at least 3-4 cups of squash, roughly). Discard shells, but save the casserole dish.
