Number Of Ingredients 9

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1 cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
3 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. everything bagel seasoning, divided
1 bunch radishes with green tops
6 celery stalks with leaves
1 English cucumber
2 yellow peppers, cut into strips
1-1/2 cups cherry tomatoes
1 cups baby carrots

Steps:

  • Mix cream cheese, sour cream and 3 Tbsp. everything bagel seasoning until blended; spoon into serving bowl. Sprinkle with remaining seasoning.
  • Trim leaves off radishes and celery stalks; reserve leaves for later use. Cut radishes into quarters, then cut celery and cucumber into thin 2-inch sticks.
  • Place dip bowl on center of platter; surround with vegetables and reserved leaves.

Homemade Bagel Chips with Creamy Garlic and Vegetable Spread image

Number Of Ingredients 21

4 plain bagels
1/4 cup olive oil
2 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
1/2 teaspoon Essence, recipe follows
Creamy Garlic and Vegetable Spread, recipe follows
2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon dried leaf oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 ounces sun-dried tomatoes, softened in hot water, drained and chopped
3 tablespoons chopped black olives
2 tablespoons chopped chives
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Salt, to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • With a sharp knife, very carefully slice the bagels one at a time as thinly as possible, for 8 to 10 thin slices per bagel. Spread in 1 layer on the prepared sheets.
  • Heat the oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. When oil starts to get warm, about 1 minute, remove from the heat and add the garlic and Essence. Let sit until the garlic perfumes the oil, about 10 minutes. Remove the garlic from the oil.
  • With a pastry brush, lightly brush the oil on the bagel chips. Bake until golden brown. Turn and bake on the second side until just crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool on wire racks.
  • To serve, arrange the bagel chips on a platter with the creamy garlic and vegetable spread.
  • Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar or container.

  • In a bowl, cream together the cream cheese and sour cream. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Adjust the seasoning, to taste.
  • Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Bring to room temperature before serving. (The spread will keep for 3 days refrigerated.)

1-1/2 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
2 tablespoons minced chives

1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 packages (2-1/2 ounces each) thinly sliced dried beef, chopped
Plain bagels, split and cut into bite-size pieces

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine sour cream and mayonnaise. Add the parsley, chives, dill and garlic salt. Stir in onion and dried beef. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Serve with bagels.

A little tangy from sour cream, this spread can be used as a dip for pretzels, potato chips, raw vegetables and, yes, bagel chips. But it's just as good on a sandwich - or even a bagel, if you're crazy for everything spice. One thing to note: If you're making it by hand, make sure to keep your cream cheese quite soft. It'll make things a lot easier.

2 tablespoons dried minced onion
2 tablespoons poppy seeds
2 tablespoons white sesame seeds
1 teaspoon fennel or caraway seeds
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon flaky salt
8 ounces cream cheese, cut into small pieces, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sour cream
Crudités, bagel chips, potato chips and-or pretzels, for serving
Make ahead: Dip can be made 5 days before serving.

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix together the dried onion, seeds, garlic powder and flaky salt. In a medium bowl, using a whisk or an electric hand mixer, blend together the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and fluffy. Stir in all but 1 tablespoon of spice mixture.
  • Eat at once, or refrigerate for 15 minutes or up to 5 days for dip to thicken and flavors to meld. Garnish with the remaining 1 tablespoon spice mixture, and serve chips, vegetables or pretzels.
