1/4 cup coffee grounds (from brewed coffee)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 large shallot, chopped
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Steps:

  • Combine the coffee grounds, balsamic vinegar, garlic, shallots, some salt and pepper and 1/4 cup water in a bowl.
  • Use as a marinade for steak. Marinate for 30 minutes to 4 hours, then cook the steak as desired.
