This homemade French Onion Chip Dip is the BEST chip dip ever! This sour cream chip dip is flavored perfectly with dried herbs for a dip that is minutes!

Steps:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sour cream with the spices. Mix until everything is well combined.
- If time permits, cover the dip and refrigerate for 30 minutes prior to serving to allow the flavors to develop.
- Serve the dip with chips, crackers or veggies.

- In a medium bowl, add sour cream, onion flakes, beef bouillon powder, garlic powder, onion powder and freshly ground black pepper.
- Stir all the ingredients very well, cover and transfer to the fridge for a couple of hours before serving.
- If there are any leftovers, just cover again and return to the fridge. The next day, if the dip is thick, add a little milk until desired consistency.

HOMEMADE ONION CHIP DIP
Sometimes I just get so hungry for the chip dip we had when I was little with sour cream and a packet of French Onion Soup Mix. I won't buy those any more as they contain partially hydrogenated oil and sometimes MSG so I made up my own dip that comes pretty close. We use organic sour cream. Easy to double.

- We did not chill and it was good, but it might be better chilled for an hour or so. I added salt originally and it was too salty so next time I will mix, taste and add salt if needed.
