BEST CHUNKY MONKEY BARS
These Best Chunky Monkey Bars are a full-flavored chewy dense bar. They have a brownie texture but are just as delicious as my homemade banana bread. Best Chunky Monkey Bars can be baked in under 40 minutes and are a wonderful dessert for lunch boxes. This is one of the best ways to use up those ripe bananas sitting on the counter.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Mix in the eggs, vanilla, and bananas.
- Add in the flour, baking soda and salt and mix together.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks.
- Prepare a 9x13 pan with non-stick cooking spray and parchment paper.
- Pour Monkey Bar batter into the pan and spread evenly.
- Top with chocolate chips.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with foil. leaving a 2-inch overhang on two sides. Coat the foil with nonstick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the butter and sugars until creamy- about 2 minutes. Mix in the eggs, banana and vanilla; beat until combined. Beat in the flour mixture until just combined, then stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts with a wooden spoon.
- Spread the batter in the pan with a rubber spatula. Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bars comes out clean- 35 to 40 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and let the bars cool completely.
- Lift the bars out of the pan using the overhanging foil. Peel off the foil. Cut into squares.

Steps:
- 1. Toasted pecans in oven on a baking sheet until toasted about 10 minutes. Heat oven 375 degrees. Line 10x15 jelly roll pan or 13x9 pan with parchment paper. or butter the pans. I use parchment paper.If you use 9x13 pan the bars will be thicker like cake.
- 2. Blend the sugar,sour cream,cream cheese,and eggs together until smooth.
- 3. blend in bananas,and vanilla until incorporated.
- 4. add flour,baking soda,salt with spoon. Mix well!!! add pecans and stir until blended.
- 5. put in to pan and bake for about 30 minutes at 375 degrees or until pick comes out clean.
- 6. Time to make your frosting. You can frost cake while warm. It actually works better. If frosting is thick add a bit more milk to it,
- 7. melt butter in sauce pan until golden brown.remove from heat. add confection sugar,vanilla and milk and stir until blended well. If frosting is thick add more milk until you get a smooth frosting.
- 8. now frost cake while it is warm.if you use the 9x13 pan for the cake use less of the frosting. cool and cut in to bars. I eat one while warm! LOL Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.

- Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
- Add all ingredients to the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Mix on medium speed until well combined.
- Press mixture evenly into prepared dish. Press additional chocolate chunks and banana chips into the top of the granola bars, if desired.
- Cover with plastic wrap and place bars in the refrigerator for at least an hour before lifting from the baking dish (with the sides of the parchment paper) and cutting into bars.
