This rainbow colored popcorn is simple to make and a festive addition to parties and celebrations.

Ingredients

8 cups popped corn, make sure to remove the unpopped kernels.
1 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons of butter
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
10 to 15 drops of food coloring or about 1/8 teaspoon of gel food coloring.

Steps:

Gather the ingredients.
Line a 12 x 17-inch, or another large-sided, pan with aluminum foil. Preheat oven to 300 F.
Melt the butter with sugar in a medium pot over low heat.
Once melted, add the water and vanilla extract together and stir. Bring mixture to boil over medium heat. Stir continually.
Reduce heat to low and simmer, untouched, until the temperature reaches 238 F with a candy thermometer .
Then add the food coloring of your choice.
Quickly add it to the popped popcorn in the bowl and stir into popcorn. Coat as much popcorn as possible.
Spread the colored popcorn mixture onto the pan. Then, bake in 300 F oven for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to completely cool in pan. Repeat if you desire more than one color of popcorn. After colored popcorn is cooled, break into pieces and eat! Whatever leftovers you have, if there are any, store in an airtight container.

12 cups popped popcorn
1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk (NOT evaporated milk)
1 (3 ounce) package cherry-flavored Jell-O® or other flavored Jell-O®

Steps:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line large shallow roasting pan with heavy foil, extending foil over edges of pan. Butter foil.
Remove all unpopped popcorn. Pour popcorn into prepared pan. Keep warm in oven.
In medium saucepan, combine EAGLE BRAND® and dry gelatin. Heat and stir over low heat until mixture is slightly thickened and bubbly, 4 to 5 minutes.
Pour EAGLE BRAND® mixture over popcorn. Using a long-handled wooden spoon, stir gently to coat. Bake 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Carefully turn out onto large piece of lightly buttered foil. Cool. Break into pieces or clusters.
