Time 1h5m

Yield 64 pieces

Number Of Ingredients 5

Unsalted butter, softened, for brushing
1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
2 pinches salt
2 cups peanut butter chips

Steps:

  • Line an 8-inch-square baking pan with foil, pressing it into the corners and up the sides; leave an overhang on 2 sides. Brush the foil with butter.

Yield Makes 8 generous servings

Number Of Ingredients 24

For chocolate layer
Vegetable oil for greasing pan
7 oz fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened), chopped
1 stick (1/2 cup) cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup salted dry-roasted peanuts (4 oz)
For peanut butter layer
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (not "natural")
3/4 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chilled heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
For hot fudge sauce
1/3 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons Dutch-process unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 oz fine-quality bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened), chopped
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Make chocolate layer:
  • Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9-inch square baking pan with foil, allowing 2 inches of foil to hang over 2 opposite ends of pan, and lightly brush foil (except overhang) with oil.
  • Melt chocolate with butter, sugar, and salt in a double boiler or a large metal bowl set over a pan of barely simmering water, whisking occasionally, until smooth. Remove top of double boiler or bowl from heat and whisk in eggs and vanilla, then stir in peanuts.
  • Pour batter into baking pan and bake until set and edges are slightly puffed, about 15 minutes. Transfer cake in pan to a rack to cool completely.
  • Make peanut butter layer:
  • Beat cream cheese, peanut butter, confectioners sugar, and salt in a bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until combined well, about 4 minutes.
  • Beat cream with vanilla in a bowl with cleaned beaters at medium-high speed until it just holds stiff peaks, then gently fold into peanut butter mixture until just combined.
  • Spread mixture evenly on top of chocolate layer and freeze, pan covered with foil, until firm, about 2 hours.
  • Make hot fudge sauce:
  • Bring cream, syrup, sugar, cocoa, salt, and chocolate to a boil in a 1-quart heavy saucepan over moderate heat, stirring until chocolate is melted. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring frequently, until thickened, about 3 minutes, then remove from heat. Stir in vanilla until incorporated. Cool sauce to warm.
  • To serve:
  • Carefully lift cake from pan by grasping overhang. Trim 1/4 inch from edges of cake and discard, then cut into 8 bars. Peel off foil and serve bars with sauce.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT FUDGE BARS (MIDWEST)

Chocolate Peanut Fudge Bars (Midwest) image

I got this recipe from the inside of the cream cheese carton- Yum! I do recommend doubling the chocolate cookie crumbs as some reviewers have noted it doesn't cover the bottom of the pan very well with only 2 cups.

Provided by Brenda.

Time 4h15m

Yield 24-30 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • Press firmly into the bottom of a 9x13 pan.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE SWIRL

Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Swirl image

This Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge Swirl is so easy to make and incredibly creamy and delicious! Tastes like a Reese's Peanut butter cup in fudge form.

Provided by Erica Walker

Categories     Dessert

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 8

8 oz. milk chocolate bar (such as Hershey Bar, broken into pieces)
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
8 oz. white chocolate bar (plain, try to find actual candy bars... not white almond bark or baking chips)
1 pkg. peanut butter chips (the one I found was Reese's brand)
1/2 c. butter (divided (1 stick))
1 7-8 oz jar marshmallow fluff ((marshmallow whip), divided)
4 1/4 c. sugar
1 12oz. can evaporated milk

Steps:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine milk chocolate bar pieces, semi-sweet chocolate chips, 4 Tbsp. butter, and half of the marshmallow whip. Set aside.
  • In a separate large mixing bowl, combine white chocolate bar pieces, peanut butter chips, 4 Tbsp. butter and remaining marshmallow whip. Set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, combine sugar and evaporated milk. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat. Stir CONSTANTLY for 4 MINUTES.
  • Pour about a cup of cooked mixture into each bowl of chocolate at a time, stirring as constantly as you can for each bowl (you might want a helper for this part). Try to divide the cooked mixture between the two bowls as evenly as you can.
  • Stir each bowl until all chocolate is melted and smooth.
  • Pour about 1/3 of each type of fudge at a time into a greased 9x13 glass baking dish.
  • Using a knife, swirl the two types of fudge together to make a pretty, swirled design.
  • Cover tightly and refrigerate until hardened (several hours or overnight).
  • Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

EASY CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge image

Chocolate peanut butter fudge is an old fashioned no bake dessert that's a favorite with kids and adults. It's ridiculously easy to make, and it only takes 5 ingredients! Use dark chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, vanilla, and salt to make this quick stovetop treat. It will be a popular candy at Christmas!

Provided by Emma

Categories     Dessert

Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 5

12 ounces dark chocolate chips (60% cacao (340g))
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk (396g)
1/2 cup all-natural smooth peanut butter (140g)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 tablespoons margarita salt (optional)

Steps:

  • Fill a 2-quart saucepan with two inches of water and bring to a boil.
  • Meanwhile, lightly butter an 8x8-inch cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • Measure out all the ingredients. The fudge sets quickly, so you won't have time to get out the ingredients later.
  • Pour the chocolate chips into a shallow heatproof bowl. Once the water has boiled, turn the heat down to low and set the bowl on top of the saucepan of simmering water, making sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water. Stir until it's fully melted.
  • Remove from the heat and pour in the sweetened condensed milk, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until evenly mixed, then immediately pack the fudge into the prepared pan. If desired, sprinkle the margarita salt on top.
  • Chill in the fridge until set, about 1 hour. Lift the fudge out of the pan and cut into slices.
