I adapted this from drinksmixer.com. Be careful...it goes down a little too easy! (The original recipe uses cream instead of milk...feel free, but I have dietary restrictions so I can't have that much fat in a drink!)

1 ounce white Creme de Cacao or 1 ounce Godiva white chocolate liqueur
1/2 ounce hazelnut-flavored liqueur
1/2 ounce coffee liqueur (like Kahlua or Kapali)
3 ounces low-fat milk
maraschino cherry (stems removed)
whipped cream (optional)

Steps:

  • Add a few ice cubes to a highball glass. Pour in liqueurs and drop in a couple maraschino cherries (I add a little of the cherry juice, too). Pour the cream down the sides of the glass and stir lightly before serving.
  • You can also hold the cherries out, top with whipped cream and cherries.

1 (10 ounce) package mint chocolate chips, divided
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup shortening
colored sprinkles (optional)

Steps:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 1/2 cup mint chocolate chips; stir. Cool slightly.
  • In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  • Beat in the egg, vanilla and melted chocolate.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 1-2 hours or until easy to handle.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness.
  • Cut with a floured 2-1/2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  • Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 to 10 minutes or until set.
  • Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
  • In a microwave, melt shortening and remaining chocolate chips; stir until smooth.
  • Dip each cookie halfway into chocolate mixture; allow excess to drip off. Sprinkle chocolate with sprinkles if desired.
  • Place on waxed paper; refrigerate until set.

3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/8 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups canned pumpkin puree
2 cups heavy cream
3 eggs, separated

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degree.
  • Mix pumpkin, sugar and spices together.
  • Add cream, mixing well.
  • Beat egg yolks, add to pumpkin mixture, and mix well.
  • Beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
  • Gently fold eggs whites into pumpkin mixture until just blended. Do not over mix.
  • Pour or spoon mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees then reduce heat to 325 degrees and bake for 30 minutes, or until set and golden brown.

120 g butter
200 g liquid honey
2 eggs
100 g semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, grated
200 g rye flour
150 g whole wheat flour
14 g baking powder
200 g semi-sweet chocolate baking squares
100 g unsalted butter (or use 2 packages of oetker Chocofix in place of chocolate and butter)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Grease a baking sheet, line it with waxed paper and grease again.
  • Cream butter.
  • Gradually add honey, eggs and chocolate.
  • Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flours and baking powder.
  • Add 2/3 of the flour mixture into the creamed mixture.
  • Knead the rest fo the flour into the dough.
  • Chill for 30 minutes (makes dough easier to roll our).
  • Roll out dough on a flour surface to a 1/4 " or 6 mm thickness.
  • Cut out heart shapes in 2 sizes.
  • Place on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake on middle rack for 10 minutes.
  • Glaze:.
  • Soften chocofix as directed on package.

  • Combine chocolate and butter in a double boiler.
  • Stir constantly until melted and smooth.
  • Decorate cookies by placing small cookies onto the large cookies.
  • Press together with the chocolate glaze.
