12 sheets of lasagne
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, sliced
4 oz (100 g) mushrooms, sliced
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
3 bay leaves
salt pepper
3 chicken portions, cooked, skinned and boned
1 tablespoon corn flour (corn starch)
450 ml (3/4 pint) milk
2/3 cup (150 ml) 1/4 pt natural yogurt
4 oz (100 g) Cheddar cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cook the lasagne in boiling salted water until tender. (A little oil added to the water will prevent the sheets of pasta from sticking together.)
  • Meanwhile, heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the onion until softened.
  • Add the mushrooms and fry for a further 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the spices, bay leaves, salt and pepper, then mix in the chicken (shredded or chopped).
  • Dissolve the cornflour in the milk and add to the pan. Cook, stirring, until thickened.
  • Drain the lasagne and spread out on paper towels
  • Make alternate layers of lasagne and the chicken mixture in a baking dish.
  • Combine the yogurt and cheese and spread over the top.
  • Bake in a preheated moderately hot oven 200C (400F) Gas mark 6 for 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.

2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cooked and shredded
2 cups grated Cheddar (5 ounces)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon soy sauce
One 10-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
One 8-ounce container sour cream
1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
1/3 cup mayonnaise
8 ounces no-boil lasagna noodles
1 cup grated Parmesan
1 cup pecans, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, combine the spinach, chicken, Cheddar, onion, cornstarch, salt, pepper, soy sauce, soup, sour cream, mushrooms and mayonnaise. Put a layer of noodles in the bottom of a greased 9-by-13-by-2-inch casserole dish. Spread half of the spinach mixture over the noodles. Put another layer of noodles over the mixture and cover with the remaining spinach mixture. Sprinkle the Parmesan over the casserole. Then sprinkle the pecans on top. Bake for 1 hour. Let the casserole sit for 15 minutes before serving.

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, melt 1/3 cup butter. Stir in the flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, nutmeg and pepper until smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. , In large a skillet, cook chicken in remaining butter until no longer pink. Stir in the artichokes, thyme and remaining salt; heat through., In a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish, layer about 1/3 cup white sauce, three noodles, 1/2 cup sauce, 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese and about 3 cups chicken mixture. Repeat layers. Top with remaining noodles, sauce and Parmesan cheese. , Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Combine chicken, artichokes, 1 cup mozzarella, Parmesan and tomatoes. Beat cream cheese, milk and garlic powder with mixer until blended; stir in 2 Tbsp. basil. Reserve half; mix remaining half with the chicken mixture.

2 cans (14 ounces each) water-packed artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
1/4 cup loosely packed basil leaves, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced, divided

1 tablespoon canola oil
1 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup white wine
1 cup half-and-half cream

1 large egg
1-1/2 cups 2% cottage cheese

Steps:

  • Fold two 18-in. square pieces of foil into thirds. Crisscross strips and place strips on bottom and up sides of a 6-qt. slow cooker. Coat strips with cooking spray. Combine artichoke hearts, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, basil and 2 garlic cloves., In a large skillet, crumble chicken over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until no longer pink; drain. Set chicken aside. 2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup diced onion
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound boneless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
coarse salt and fresh black pepper
2 (14 ounce) cans (or frozen) artichoke hearts, well-drained
2 cups ricotta Cheese
2 cups fresh shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 beaten egg
1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
3 cups fresh baby spinach leaves, stems removed
1 pound lasagna noodles, preferably fresh
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
dash of nutmeg
1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
coarse salt and fresh black pepper

Steps:

  • In a large skillet heat the olive oil over medium-low heat. Add the onion, garlic, chicken, Italian seasoning and season well with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring often until chicken is cooked through. Cut the artichokes in half and then in half again, dry off any moisture with paper towels. Stir them into the chicken and cook 2 - 3 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool. In a large mixing bowl combine the ricotta, 1 + 1/2 cups of the mozzarella, the egg and parsley. Make stacks out of the spinach leaves and cut them into thin strips (chiffonade). Mix them into the ricotta mixture - it will be thick. Make the sauce: In a large, heavy duty saucepan melt the butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour and cook 3 - 4 minutes, whisking often. Slowly whisk in milk, turn heat up and bring to a simmer. Maintain a simmer for 4 minutes, stirring often. Turn heat down to low and stir in nutmeg, Parmesan cheese and a pinch or two each of salt and pepper, continue stirring until cheese is melted. Remove from heat. If using dried noodles cook according to package directions. Assemble the lasagna: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Butter a 9 x 13-inch casserole pan. Add a very thin layer of sauce over bottom of the pan, then a layer of noodles covering the bottom completely from edge to edge. Spread 1/2 the ricotta mixture evenly from edge to edge then top with 1/3 of the chicken mixture followed by 1/3 of the sauce. Cover the filling with another layer of noodles followed with the remaining 1/2 of ricotta, 1/3 of the chicken and 1/3 of the sauce. Cover with another layer of noodles followed by the remaining sauce, the remaining chicken mixture and the 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese. Bake 45 - 50 minutes until bubbly and hot in the middle. If the top starts to get too brown tent with aluminum foil. Allow to set 5 - 10 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.

1 pound shredded mozzarella ((4 cups))
5 tablespoons unsalted butter ((may sub half olive oil))
8 garlic cloves (minced)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
3 cups half and half
1 tsp EACH onion powder, dried parsley, dried basil, dried oregano, salt
1/2 tsp EACH dried thyme, pepper, chicken bouillon, red pepper flakes
2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
3 cups shredded Rotisserie chicken
2 eggs
3 cups whole milk ricotta cheese
1 cup full fat sour cream
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil (or 1 tablespoon dried)
1/2 tsp EACH salt, pepper
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 14 oz. can artichoke hearts (chopped, patted VERY DRY)
16 oz. frozen chopped spinach (thawed, patted VERY DRY)

Steps:

  • NOODLES: Place lasagna noodles into the bottom of a long pan. Pour hot tap water over the noodles until they are submerged. Let them soak while you prep the lasagna - at least 30 minutes. Agitate the noodles with your hands occasionally to prevent them from sticking together.
  • FILLING: Add all of the Ricotta Filling ingredients to a large bowl and mix until combined. Set aside.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • ALFREDO SAUCE: Melt 5 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium heat then whisk in flour and garlic. Cook, while stirring for 2 minutes. Turn heat to low then gradually whisk in half and half, chicken broth and all spices/seasonings.
  • Bring to a boil, whisking constantly then reduce heat to medium and simmer, whisking occasionally until thickened (but not overly thick), about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted. Stir in chicken until well combined. Add additional milk if needed to thin.

1 yellow onion, diced medium

1 1/2 cups roughly chopped marinated artichoke hearts, divided, plus 1 tablespoon marinade

1 cup fresh breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium. Add celery and onion; cook until translucent, 5 minutes. Stir in flour and cook 1 minute. Increase heat and slowly stir in broth. Bring to a boil, stirring, and cook until liquid thickens, 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in chicken and 1/2 cup artichokes; season with salt and pepper. 2 (8 ounce) packages frozen artichoke hearts, thawed, coarsely chopped
1 cup dry vermouth
4 1/2 tablespoons butter
4 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 1/2 cups whole milk
2 1/2 cups freshly grated parmesan cheese (about 7 1/2 ounces)
ground nutmeg
1 (9 ounce) package oven-ready no-boil lasagna noodles
1 lb whole-milk mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • For filling:Melt butter in large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms release juices and begin to brown, about 7 minutes.
  • Add artichokes and vermouth.

1 large chicken breast or 2 small chicken breasts (see Cook's Note)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 cups shredded Parmesan
9 oven-ready lasagna noodles
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley, plus additional for garnish
12 ounces shredded mozzarella

Steps:

  • For the chicken: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Sprinkle the chicken breast with the Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and cook the chicken on medium heat until it registers 165 degrees F in the middle, about 5 minutes on each side. Cube the chicken and set aside.
  • For the alfredo sauce: In the same pan that the chicken was cooked in, melt the butter over low heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until the garlic has softened, about 2 minutes. Add the flour and whisk until smooth. (Be careful not to brown the roux.) Add the milk and heavy cream a little at a time, making sure to whisk until smooth after each addition, and let thicken, about 5 minutes. Add the nutmeg and pepper. Whisk to combine.   • Layer 1 cup of the alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Add 3 lasagna noodles. Spread another cup of alfredo, a third of the chicken, a sprinkle of parsley and a quarter of the mozzarella. Then add 3 more noodles and repeat the layering two more times, ending with alfredo sauce, the remaining mozzarella and 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan.
  • Bake until browned on top, 40 to 50 minutes. Remove the lasagna from the oven and sprinkle with parsley. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before cutting into it.
