3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3 tablespoons cooking oil, divided
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup sliced celery
1 cup thinly sliced carrot
1 small onion, cut into wedges
1 cup water
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule

Steps:

  • Cut chicken into 1/2 inch strips; place in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Add cornstarch and toss to coat.
  • Combine soy sauce, ginger, and garlic powder; add to bag and shake well.
  • Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons oil; stirfry chicken until no longer pink, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove and keep warm.
  • Add remaining oil; stir fry broccoli, celery, carrots, and onion for 4-5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  • Add water and bouillon.
  • Return chicken to pan.
  • Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (about 2)
1 large egg white
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Coarse salt and ground pepper
2 to 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pound celery (8 to 10 large stalks), thinly sliced on the diagonal (about 5 cups)
3-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly slivered lengthwise
1 jalapeno chile, red or green, slivered lengthwise (ribs and seeds removed, for less heat, if desired)
3 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon sugar
4 scallions, cut in 3-inch lengths

Steps:

  • Cut chicken into thin strips, 2 1/2 to 3 inches long. In a medium bowl, whisk together egg white, cornstarch, 1 teaspoon coarse salt, and 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper until smooth. Add chicken strips, and toss to coat.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of coated chicken strips to skillet; cook, turning once, until golden, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Add another tablespoon vegetable oil to skillet, and brown remaining chicken in same manner.
  • Add celery, ginger, and jalapeno to remaining oil in skillet (add additional oil, if necessary); cook, tossing, until celery is crisp-tender, 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Stir vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar in with vegetables. Add scallions and cooked chicken; toss, until combined and heated through, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve immediately.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
1 tablespoon Shao Hsing rice cooking wine, or pale dry sherry
1-inch piece peeled fresh ginger
3 cloves garlic
1/2 to 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 ribs celery, thinly sliced (about 3 cups)
3/4 cup roasted salted cashews (4 ounces)
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 pound peeled and cleaned medium shrimp
3 scallions, thinly sliced white and green, separated

Steps:

  • Mix the soy sauce, sesame oil and wine, in a medium bowl, set aside. Mince the ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes in a mini chopper.
  • Heat a large nonstick skillet over high heat until very hot, about 2 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil, the celery and cashews. Season with 1/4 teaspoon salt, and stir-fry until the celery turns jade green, about 3 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a plate.
  • Return the skillet to high heat. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil, the shrimp and the remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt, and stir-fry until shrimp turn pink and curl up, about 2 minutes. Add the ginger-garlic mixture and the scallion whites, and stir-fry until fragrant, about 1 minute. Return the celery and cashews to the pan with most of the scallion greens and the reserved soy sauce mixture and stir over the heat for about 1 minute to mix together evenly and blend flavors. Mound the mixture on a platter and garnish with the remaining scallion greens.

Celery Stalk: 2 cups
Carrots: 1 cup
Scallions: 1 Tablespoon fresh

Steps:

  • Cut into strips the chicken breasts and carrots, slice the celery and scallions, mince the ginger and garlic, and toast the sesame.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or sauté pan. Add ginger, garlic, and scallions, and stir fry briefly until cooked, but not brown, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Add celery and carrots, and continue to cook gently until the celery begins to soften.
  • In a bowl, mix cornstarch with chicken broth, and add to the pan. Add rice vinegar, and bring to a boil over high heat. Lower temperature to a gentle simmer.
  • Add chicken, and stir continually for 5-8 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds, and mix gently. Enjoy!

  • Cook noodles as directed on package, omitting salt.

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 ounces unsalted cashews
4 spring onions, sliced diagonally
4 celery ribs, thinly sliced diagonally
6 ounces of stir fry yellow bean sauce
salt and pepper
celery leaves (to garnish)

Steps:

  • Cut the chicken into thin slices across the grain.
  • Heat the oil in a wok swirling it around till its really hot.Add the nuts stirring until they start to brown .
  • Add the chicken and stir fry until nearly cooked thru.
  • Add the celery and spring onions and continue stirring well in the wok.
  • Add the yellow stir fry paste and season with salt and pepper. Toss lightly to cover the chicken and vegetables with the paste.

1 each small green, sweet red and sweet yellow pepper, julienned
1 medium onion, quartered
4 tablespoons olive oil, divided
2 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 pound boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cubed
3/4 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Hot cooked rice, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, stir-fry peppers and onion in 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat until crisp-tender, 5-7 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Remove and keep warm.
