CHEX® MUDDY BUDDIES®

Steps:

• Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
• In 1-quart microwaveable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
• Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Steps:

• In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and vanilla extract.
• Melt in the microwave for 1 minute, stir, and then continue to microwave at 30 second intervals until melted and smooth.
• Next, pour in your Chex cereal into the bowl and stir gently with a silicone spatula until all of the cereal is fully coated with the chocolate peanut butter mixture.
• Transfer your chocolate coated cereal to a large resealable bag and add in the powdered sugar.
• Seal the bag and gently toss/shake the cereal until it is evenly coated with the powdered sugar.
• Pour cereal out on a baking sheet and let cool/set-up for 30 minutes before eating or storing.*

Steps:

• Pour cereal into large bowl; set aside. In 1-quart, microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine.
• Microwave for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute.
• Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate sauce slowly over cereal, stirring to coat evenly.
• Pour cereal into large plastic bag.
• Add powdered sugar and secure; shake to coat well.
• Spread on waxed paper to cool.

PUPPY CHOW/ MUDDY BUDDY

Steps:

• Measure out the 9 cups of Chex cereal into a large bowl, set aside.
• In a grocery bag, or large plastic bag, measure out 2 cups of powdered sugar and set aside.
• In a large saucepan, measure out the butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips.
• Melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter together in the saucepan over low heat. Don't turn the heat on the stove up too high, or you will burn it. It should take a few minutes to completely melt this mixture.
• Pour this melted chocolate mixture over the 9 cups Chex in the large bowl. Stir it all together, making sure that all the pieces of Chex are covered in the melted chocolate.
• Pour this chocolate Chex mixture into the plastic bag with powdered sugar in it. Tie the bag and throw the bag around until all the Chex pieces are coated in a layer of powdered sugar. If you want to add more powdered sugar to your preference, you can. I usually add about 1 and half more cups.
• Open the bag and pour out into a bowl to enjoy! Perfect for parties or to just snack on!

Steps:

• 1. Pour cereal into a large bowl and set aside. In a 1-quart microwave-safe bowl combine chips, peanut butter, and margarine. Microwave on high 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in vanilla. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Pour cereal mixture into a large jumbo Ziploc bag with powdered sugar in it. Seal securely and shake until all pieces are coated. Spread on wax paper to cool. Best served chilled. Great Party snack!

WHITE CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY MUDDY BUDDIES

Steps:

• Pour both kinds of cereal into a large bowl. Set aside.
• Using your food processor, pulse the freeze dried strawberries until powdery.
• Mix powdered strawberries and powdered sugar together in a small bowl with a whisk.
• Melt the chocolate at 50% power in the microwave in intervals of about 15 seconds, stirring until smooth.
• Pour melted chocolate over the cereal, and stir to coat.
• Pour powdered sugar mixture over the top and stir/shake to toss it all together until the cereal is completely coated in the strawberry sugar.
• Stir in M&M's, mallow bits and sprinkles.
• Store in an airtight container.
