BROWN BUTTER TOFFEE COOKIES
With crisp, caramelized edges and rich, chewy centers, these Toffee Cookies are irresistible! Made with nutty brown butter and filled with chocolate covered toffee bits.

Steps:
- Brown the butter: Heat the butter in a light colored skillet over medium-high heat. It will come to a boil. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the solid particles at the bottom turn golden brown. Keep an eye on it carefully towards the end, it can burn quickly. Immediately pour into a large mixing bowl to stop the browning. Let cool about 10 minutes so the sugars don't melt when mixed into it.
- Whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
- Whisk sugars into cooled browned butter. Whisk in vanilla and eggs until thoroughly combined.
- Pour dry ingredients into bowl and stir until no streaks of flour remain.
- Stir in toffee bits.
- Cover with plastic wrap, pressing the plastic down on the surface of the dough. Chill for at least 3 hours and up to 3 days. If you chill longer than 3 hours, let dough sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes so the dough is easier to scoop.

You can use chocoate chips, peanut butter chips. You can even spread these into a 13 x 9 and cut them into bars when they have cooled!

- 1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix cake mix, oil, eggs and vanilla. Stir in chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 8-10 minutes. The centers will still be a little soft. Cool slightly then remove from cookie sheet. About 3 dozen.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease baking sheets.
- Beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until creamy. Beat egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture.
- Sift flour, baking soda, and salt together in a separate bowl; stir into the butter mixture. Fold chopped candy bars into the mixture. Drop batter by the teaspoonful onto prepared baking sheets.
- Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks to cool completely.

HEATH BAR COOKIES
Steps:
- Line the cookie sheets with parchment paper, silicone mat, or aluminum foil with the glossy side down.
- Whisk together the flour, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, or until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Beat at a low speed just until combined. Gently mix in the chopped candy bits. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto lined cookie sheets, placing them 3 inches apart.
- Bake them for 10 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are slightly browned. The centers will still be soft and moist.
- Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheets for 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer onto a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy with a glass of milk.

- In a large bowl, stir together the granulated and brown sugars, melted butter, and salt.
- Stir in the eggs until completely incorporated. Add the vanilla and stir to combine.
- Add the flour and baking soda and stir until there are no lumps or white streaks.
- Remove the Heath bars from the freezer and smack on the counter to break into pieces. Add to the cookie dough and fold to incorporate.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or freeze for up to 3 months).
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop the chilled cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until the edges just start to brown. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 10 minutes.
