CHERRY LIMEADE COOKIES RECIPE - (4.5/5)

Steps:

• In stand mixer combine butter and sugars. Beat until light and fluffy. Add kool-aid, vanilla and eggs. Mix well, then add flour, baking powder and salt. Mix until all combined. Divide dough into two 8x2-inch logs. Wrap in plastic and chill for at least one hour. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment. Remove cookie logs from refrigerator. Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on cookie rack. LIMEADE FROSTING: Beat butter, icing sugar, kool-aid and milk together until frosting is fluffy, adding more milk if needed. Frost cooled cookies using a piping bag or just spread frosting on top of cookies. Complete with cherries on top of each cookie.

CHERRY LIMEADE

Steps:

• Chill all ingredients before mixing.
• When cold, combine the lemon-lime soda, lime juice, sugar, cherries with their juice and lime slices in a large pitcher and stir. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
• Serve with a ladle, getting cherries and limes in each serving.

Steps:

• Pour the lime juice into a pitcher. Mix together the sugar and 1 cup water in a separate container and stir to dissolve and make a syrup. Add the sugar syrup to the lime juice and top it up with 4 cups water. Chill in the fridge for about an hour.
• To serve: Fill mason jars with ice cubes, add some limeade and top them off with a drizzle of cherry syrup and a maraschino cherry.

CHERRY LIMEADE CAKE

Steps:

• Combine cake mix with oil, water, eggs and dry Kool-Aid; mix on low speed 30 seconds, then on medium speed for 2 minutes.
• Pour cake batter into a 9 X 13 pan and bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
• Heat limeade concentrate in microwave about 2 minutes until hot; dissolve lime Jello in limeade. Using chopsticks or wooden skewers, poke a LOT of holes all over the still-warm cake. Slowly pour the limeade-jello mixture over the cake, allowing the cake to absorb the liquid. Cover and chill 2 to 3 hours, until cake is cold.
• In a large bowl, combine milk, instant vanilla pudding mix, cherry jello and cherry extract. Beat with electric mixer until smooth and gelatin is mostly dissolved. Fold in Cool Whip and frost cake.

Steps:

• Mix together Sprite, grenadine, lime juice in a glass.
• Add crushed ice, lime wedges and cherries in glass.
