If you love tortellini alfredo, wait until you get a bite of this! You can get my favorite recipe for Cheesy Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo Skillet Recipe. Creamy sauce, tasty tortellini, and tender shrimp, I don't think it gets better than this.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound package cheese tortellini pasta (cooked and drained)
1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
3 tbsp. salted butter
1 roma tomato (diced)
2 leaves basil (minced)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tbsp. all purpose flour
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add shrimp and let cook for about 2-3 minutes, until not longer translucent.
  • Add in diced tomato, basil, and cloves and stir.
  • Saute for 1-2 minutes and stir in flour.
  • Once flour is completely stirred in, add heavy whipping cream and parmesan cheese.
  • Stir and add in cheese tortellini. Toss to coat.
  • Serve with more shredded parmesan and minced basil.

1 pound large shrimp, deveined and peeled
1 package cheese tortellini
1 tomato diced
3 tbsp butter
2 leaves of Basil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp all purpose flour
½ cup parmesan cheese, shredded
½ cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper, (optional)

Steps:

  • FIRST STEP:In a skillet, melt the butter Place the shrimp into the butter SECOND STEP:Cook for 2 to 4 minutes, until the shrimp are no longer translucent Add in the diced tomato, the minced garlic, salt and pepper and the basil THIRD STEP:Stir to combine well Saute for 1 to 2 minutes Add the flour and stir FOURTH STEP:Add in the heavy cream and stir while it thickens Stir in the parmesan cheese FIFTH STEP:Add in the cheese tortellini and stir well to coat. Simmer until heated through. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and more shredded Parmesan Enjoy!

I was looking for something to eat for supper and browsed what I had on hand and I came up with this recipe. I have posted this on a local TV stations website and now it has gone national.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup butter
4 ounces cream cheese
1 leek, thinly sliced
3/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder, add in more to suit your taste if you prefer
salt and pepper, to taste
1 lb frozen shrimp (I prefer using salad shrimp)
1 lb cheese tortellini pasta, cooked and drained
garnish with parsley or chives, for decoration

Steps:

  • Cook tortellini as directed on package. Meanwhile, thaw the frozen shrimp in a colander using cold running water. Remove the tails. If using uncooked shrimp, devein and remove tails and then sauté in a teaspoon of the butter. Remove shrimp and set aside. Do not overcook. In a saucepan combine butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Simmer this until all is melted, and mixed well. Add the Leeks, Parmesan Cheese and garlic powder. Simmer this for 15 - 20 minutes over low heat. Toss the tortellini with the shrimp and sauce, coating well. Add the parsley or chives and serve.
