I've served it numerous times since then, and it never fails to get rave reviews. Even your most finicky eater will enjoy this oven-baked main dish. 1/2 cup ketchup, divided
1 egg
1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons dill pickle relish
6 slices process American cheese

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup ketchup, egg, bread crumbs and onion powder. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well. On a large piece of waxed paper, pat beef mixture into a 10x6-in. rectangle. Spread remaining ketchup over meat to within 1/2 in. of long sides and 1-1/2 in. of short sides. Top with mustard and relish., Place four cheese slices on top; set remaining cheese aside. Roll up loaf, jelly-roll style, starting with a short side and pulling away waxed paper while rolling. Seal seams and ends well. Place loaf, seam side down, in a greased 11x7-in. baking pan., Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until meat is no longer pink and a thermometer reads 160°. Cut the reserved cheese slices in half diagonally; place on top of loaf. Return to the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

This meatloaf is extremely juicy, and the potential variety of different flavors is as big as your imagination. I've done American cheese with ketchup and mustard on top and served with dill pickle chips. Another one might be Swiss cheese and mushroom topping.

¾ cup fresh bread crumbs
½ cup minced onion
2 eggs, beaten
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the beef, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, salt and pepper, and mix well. Pat out meat mixture into a 14x18 inch rectangle on a piece of wax paper. Spread cheese over the meat, leaving a 3/4 inch border around the edges. Roll up jelly roll fashion to enclose the filling and form a pinwheel loaf. Press beef in on both ends to enclose the cheese. Place in a 10x15 inch baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven 1 hour, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

7 slices turkey bacon, or more to taste
1 pound extra lean ground turkey
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg
½ small onion, diced
1 slice French bread, crumbled
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, or more to taste
2 teaspoons garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
¼ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
1 ½ tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook turkey bacon until browned and crisp, about 5 minutes per side. Drain bacon on paper towels; crumble when cool.
  • Mix cooked bacon with ground turkey, Cheddar cheese, egg, onion, crumbled French bread, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper; turn the turkey meatloaf mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and form into a loaf shape in the middle of the dish.
  • Mix ketchup, yellow mustard, and brown sugar together in a bowl, stirring to dissolve brown sugar. Spread the mixture over the turkey loaf.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on paper towels. When cool, crumble into a large bowl.
  • Mix ketchup and mustard in a bowl.

This recipe combines two of my favorite things! When you put together a cheeseburger and meatloaf, you get this delicious Crock Pot Cheeseburger Meatloaf!

2 lbs ground beef
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup dried minced onions
2 large eggs (beaten)
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
favorite cheeseburger toppings for garnish

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together all of your ingredients except for your cheese and garnish.
  • Press out into a large rectangle on a piece of lightly greased wax paper.
  • Sprinkle on your cheese, leaving a 3/4 inch border all the way around.
  • Starting at one of the short ends, roll up like a jelly roll and pinch each end to close it up.
  • Place your roll in a 6-quart crock pot and press into a meatloaf shape.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  • Garnish with your favorite cheeseburger toppings or eat it as is!

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 9x5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray.

1/4 cup milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crisp. Transfer to a paper-towel-lined plate and reserve.
  • Add the milk, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, and the mustard to a bowl and whisk to combine. Add the bread and toss to combine. Set aside.
  • Add the onions and garlic to a small food processor and pulse until finely chopped.

This is the kind of meatloaf recipe that you should double so you can have leftover meatloaf sandwiches the next day. Or just leave it single if you don't have a giant family like mine because this recipe makes two loafs!

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried parsley

1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 sleeve crushed saltine crackers

2.5 lbs 90/10 ground beef
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Preheat your Traeger to 375°.
  • Mix in all of the loaf ingredients except the ground beef. Stir until well combined, and then add ground beef and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Press down into two foil loaf pans that have been lightly sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Place the loaf pans onto the Traeger and close the lid and cook for 25-30 minutes.
  • Mix together the sauce ingredients until well combined.
  • Carefully flip over the entire loaf pan to turn out the loaf directly onto the grill grates. BE CAREFUL you don't want it to break apart. Gently brush with some of the sauce. Grill for 20 minutes and then gently flip. Brush with some more of the sauce.
  • Grill another 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees. Remove from grill and let rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Slice the loaf and serve hot!

1 teaspoon house seasoning (Paula Deen's House Seasoning Mix)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup Ritz cracker, crushed up
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 slices bread
1 (10 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk (or 1/2 milk and 1/2 whipping cream)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
green onion, chopped (optional)
fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350'.
  • Grease a deep dish meatloaf pan with pam.
  • Place 2 slices of bread on bottom of dish (this will catch the grease from the meatloaf).
  • Mix together, ground beef,house seasoning,chopped onion and green pepper,1c shredded cheese, worcestershire sauce,sour cream,ritz crackers and black pepper.
  • Place in meatloaf dish and bake 45 minutes.
  • Discard bread pieces after baking. Place meatloaf on a large plate.

  • Place soup, milk (whipping cream if using)in a sauce pan and heat on medium heat.

¾ cup bread crumbs
½ cup minced onion
2 eggs, beaten
1 ½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoon pepper
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Ketchup and mustard to preference for glaze

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, eggs, salt, and pepper just until the mixture comes together. Do not over-mix.
  • If using the pinwheel method, flatten your meat mixture into a 14x18 rectangle on a piece of wax paper.
  • Spread your shredded cheese on the center of your meat mixture. Leave a ¾ inch border around the edges.
  • Start forming your pinwheel loaf by rolling up your mixture like a jelly roll.
  • Pinch both ends, making sure the cheese is fully closed in.
  • Place in a 10x15 baking dish.
  • Cook for 1 hour or until the center reaches 160 degrees F.
  • If adding a glaze, put your oven temperature to 400 degree F and caramelize the glaze for 10 minutes.
  • Let sit for 10 minutes before cutting.

1 medium onion, chopped

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup crushed cracker (recommended ( Ritz)
1 teaspoon seasoning salt (recommended ( Lawry's)
2 slices white bread
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
chopped onion
1 bunch fresh parsley leaves, chopped
chopped onion, for the sauce (optional)
parsley, for the sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Mix all ingredients together, except the bread slices and Sauce. Shape into a loaf. Line a 1 1/2-quart loaf pan with the bread slices. Place meatloaf on top. Bake loaf for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The bread absorbs the grease and should be discarded after loaf is removed from oven.
  • For the sauce: Heat the soup and milk over medium heat; add the cheese. Add the chopped onions and parsley to the sauce, if desired. Pour Sauce over the meatloaf or pass at the table.

6 slices Texas toast, cubed
1/2 cup milk
2 pounds ground beef
6 strips crisp cooked bacon, chopped
2 large eggs
2 red onions; 1 finely chopped and 1 thinly sliced
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
8 ounces Cheddar, cut into small cubes, plus 1 cup grated Cheddar
1/4 cup grated yellow onion (from about 1/2 onion)
Dill pickle chips, for serving

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a broiler pan with nonstick spray.
  • Mix together the bread and milk in a bowl and set aside.
  • Add the ground beef, bacon, eggs, chopped red onion, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper to a large bowl. Add the soaked bread and mix with your hands, trying to keep the mixture light. Gently mix in the cubed Cheddar, making sure to distribute it evenly throughout the meat.
  • Form the meat mixture into a loaf approximately 6 to 8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches thick on the prepared pan. Mix the grated yellow onion with the remaining 1 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup mustard, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper in another bowl. Spread half of the sauce on top of the meatloaf. Tent the pan with foil and bake for 1 hour.
  • Remove the foil, add the rest of the sauce and continue baking until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F and the meatloaf is no longer pink in the middle, another 35 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle on the grated Cheddar and return to the oven for 5 minutes to melt. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before removing to a platter.
  • Slice and serve with the sliced red onions and dill pickle chips.

Use your hands and make sure you mix the ingredients really well so they are thoroughly combined. Shape into a loaf about 8 by 3 inches.
  • Line a rimmed baking sheet with the bread slices and place the loaf on top. Bake the loaf until well browned, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Remove from the oven and discard the bread slices.
  • Meanwhile, make the sauce.
  • Slice the meatloaf and serve topped with the sauce or pass the sauce at the table. You can add chopped onions and parsley to the sauce, if you like.
  • In a medium saucepan, heat the soup and milk over medium heat. Add the Cheddar and stir until the cheese is melted.
