- Preheat oven to 325 degrees and spray a 9x5 loaf pan with baking spray.
- Into a large bowl whisk together milk, egg, sugar, and melted butter.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt and add it into the bowl.
- Whisk until just combined then fold in the cranberries and chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into loaf pan.
- To make crumble using a fork, mash together brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and butter until it makes coarse crumbles then sprinkle it over the loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool 20 minutes before removing from the loaf pan.

- Preheat oven to 325°. Line bottom of a greased 9x5-in. loaf pan with parchment; grease parchment. , In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Whisk the egg, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in cranberries and chocolate chips. Transfer to prepared pan., In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour and cinnamon; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 60-65 minutes., Cool for 10 minutes; loosen sides of bread from pan. Cool completely before removing from pan. Plan ahead - the cherries need to soak at least three hours or overnight. NOTE: If you prefer, you can use cherry or orange juice instead of using the liqueur.

- Place cherries (or cranberries) in a container with a very tight fitting lid.
- Pour liqueur and hot water over the cherries, seal the lid tightly, and shake to coat cherries well with the liquid.
- Set aside 3 hours or overnight so cherries will absorb the liquid.
- Preheat oven to 350 F (or 325 F for a pan with a black surface).
- Grease a loaf pan and lightly dust with plain dry breadcrumbs, shaking out excess.
- Sift together the flour, baking powder, and the salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sugars, and the finely grated lemon zest and beat until well combined and pale yellow.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time.
- Add the flour mixture, beating on low speed, just until the flour is combined.
- Stir in the cherries and any liquid still in the soaking container.
- Pour batter into the pan and smooth top with a rubber spatula.
- Bake in the center of the oven for 45-60 minutes- or until a toothpick insterted in the center tests clean, checking as early as 40 minutes into the baking time- if it is getting too brown, cover loosely with foil and continue baking until the toothpick tests done.
- Expect the top of the loaf to crack.
- Let cool in the pan 15 minutes, then remove from pan and set onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Wrap in plastic and let set overnight before slicing.
- For extra decadence, drizzle a little more liqueur over the crack before wrapping in plastic- don't pour too much or you'll soak the bread.

- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Chop cranberries in half. This is done easiest when the cranberries are frozen.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, milk, oil, applesauce, orange zest and vanilla.

- Add room temperature butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar to a large mixing bowl. Mix with a hand mixer or the paddle attachment of a stand mixer. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
- Pour room temperature egg and vanilla extract into the bowl and mix again. Mix until a smooth mixture remains. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix once more.
- You should be left with a smooth, thick dough. Add chopped cherries and chocolate chunks to the bowl and mix in with a spatula. Pop the bowl into the fridge to chill for 20 minutes.

- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa and set aside.
- In another large bowl, use an electric mixer (or stand mixer) and cream together the butter and sugar for about 2-3 minutes. Add the eggs and almond extract and beat for another 1-2 minutes.
- Add the flour mixture and milk and mix just until combined - don't overmix! Use a large spoon to fold in the cherries and chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a well-greased bread pan and bake for about 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (or until internal temp reaches about 200°). - Cream 1 cup unsalted softened butter with 1/2 cup powdered sugar, mix in vanilla.
- Add flour and salt mixture and mix until it starts forming larger clumps.

- Form the dough into the log and press it well or it will crumble when you slice the cookies (the log should be about 2 inch thick) Wrap it in the plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for at least 1-2 hour.

- Place 2 empty saucers in the freezer to chill. Wash and pit the cherries. Cut three quarters of them in half, leaving the remainder whole.
- In a large saucepan, combine cherries, lemon juice and sugar. Heat gently, without boiling, until sugar has dissolved. Boil for 4 minutes, then crush cherries lightly with a potato masher.
- Add the butter, then test the jam to see if it will set by removing from the heat and drizzling a little onto a chilled saucer. Wait 30 seconds, then run your finger through the jam - if it crinkles, it's ready; if your finger slips through without the jam crinkling, boil for another couple of minutes, then re-test. Ladle into sterilised jars and place lids on immediately.
- Make the Chocolate chip buttermilk scones (see below). Serve the scones with the Cherry jam.
- Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease and flour a square cake pan, or a flat cookie sheet. Place flour, baking powder, sugar and butter into a large bowl or processor. Pulse, or use fingertips to rub butter into flour until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add buttermilk and chocolate chips; pulse or stir until dough comes together. Place on lightly-floured surface. Roll out to a 3cm-thick rectangle. Cut into 12 scones. Place in prepared pan on the tray. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until lightly golden and hollow when tapped on top.
