CHEDDAR BRUSCHETTA

Here is a fine appetizer and a different take on bruschetta. It still has the tomatoes you love but adds some cheddar to make it a creamier finger food that melts in your mouth. I served it to my guests and family and they really enjoyed it. There were no leftovers so make a double batch if you have a really big crowd. Served hot from the oven makes this one you can serve any time of year. I found this recipe from Vicki Thompson in a 2009 Taste of Home Summer appetizers booklet. Makes two dozen of the French baguette size but if your French bread slices are larger it will make one dozen. Enjoy! ChefDLH

CHEDDAR BRUSCHETTA - REVIEW BY SHEILA - ALLRECIPES.COM
Wonderful! I love bruschetta - and this is one of my fav's. for those who find mayo taste a bit strong- I suggest this slight change, brush the bread with your fav extra virgin olive oil - you can be a bit generous here and halve or quarter the amount of mayo per your generosity with the oil. Mayo is a very basic condiment - and at its most basic form, its oil, pasteurized egg …

CHEDDAR BRUSCHETTA - REVIEW BY CAITLIN - ALLRECIPES.COM
Fabulous!!! I have made this twice, and I think this recipe is hard to mess up! You can use any cheese you like and it is still good. The second time I made it with swiss, muenster, and parmesan cheese, because it was what we had on hand. My husband and I liked it even more! Both times I replaced the mayo with light miracle whip and used grape tomatoes instead …

CHEDDAR BRUSCHETTA - REVIEW BY BRITTANY KLINE - ALLRECIPES.COM
I have never commented on anything, but this is SO worth it. I made this for 4 people and it was gone in a matter of minutes. i did add a little garlic powder to the mix and oiled both sides of bread (as previously mentioned) i also put some extra Parmesan cheese on both sides as I toasted it and it just gave it some extra flavor. This recipe is saved in my favorites …

first, i love seeing a bruschetta recipe that starts with the bread. "real" bruschetta is just toast with stuff on it. and this had plenty of "stuff". i'm not sure about the mayo, though. i'll try using less next time.

CHEDDAR BRUSCHETTA - REVIEW BY PEAS WITH HONEY ...
We enjoyed this. I wouldn't call it love at first bite, but it was a nice light dinner for us. I too, like someone else suggested, was a little overwhelmed by the mayo here. It tasted good, it was just a bit much. I might cut the mayo in half next time. I pre-toasted my bread in a skillet with a little salted butter, then baked it with the topping. I think this really added something to the ...
