Creamy Celery Beef Stroganoff image

Cream of celery soup adds richness to a recipe that has become a family favorite. It's so simple to prepare and, oh, that flavor! -Kim Wallace, Dennison, Ohio

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 medium onion, chopped
1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
1 envelope onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup sour cream
Hot cooked noodles

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 7 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beef is tender. Stir in sour cream. Serve with noodles.

1/4 cup flour
salt & pepper
2 cups milk

Steps:

  • Heat skillet.
  • Add oil.
  • Add flour when oil is hot.
  • Salt and pepper.
  • Cook over medium high heat to cook flour almost brown.
  • Add milk and stir till the desired thickness.
