- Assemble the Bissell QuickSteamer by sliding the upper body into the lower body assembly and secure with screws. Slide the handle assembly down into the upper body until it will go no further.

- Remove the cleaning solution tank from the back of the machine and unscrew the black cap. Add the recommended amount of carpet cleaner to the tank and fill to the line with hot tap water.

- Press the red power switch with your foot and step on the handle release switch before beginning cleaning. Press trigger to dispense cleaning solution and work on the carpet in areas which measure 3 feet by 5 feet.
- Empty the collection tank when it reaches the full line by releasing the latches on each side and empty. Rinse with clear water and replace the tank on the machine, clicking the latches closed.
- Machine can be stored with cleaning solution in the tank. Do not leave liquids in the dirty water tank. Wipe off machine and wrap cord around the storage cleats.

- Start with assembling the Bissell Quicksteamer. To assemble, you will need to use screws to install the upper body and lower body. Make sure that the screws are tight so that they are sturdy.
- Vacuum the room and move furniture. You will need to vacuum the room thoroughly before cleaning the rugs and carpet with the Bissell Quicksteamer.
- Fill the solution tank with a carpet cleaner. You will need to remove the solution tank from the back of the machine. To do this, lift the tank straight up and then away from the body of the machine.
- (optional): Pretreating stains. If your carpet’s got some serious stains, you would want to pretreat them so that you won’t have to waste the effort going over and over with the Quicksteamer.
- Clean the carpet thoroughly. Now, it is time to clean the carpet. At first, turn on the switch. To start, you will need to step on the red power foot switch.
- Empty the dirty water tank. Also known as the collection tank, you will need to remove the dirty solution tank by lifting the handle carefully. You will need to empty the dirty water tank when it reaches the “Full” line.
- Fill the solution tank with clean water. After you are done cleaning with carpet cleaning solution and hot water, it is time to rinse the carpet with just clean water.
