- Begin by unwrapping all of the individual Caramel Squares. (Try not to eat too many while unwrapping them!) Then slice each Caramel Square down the middle lengthwise to create a thinner slice of Caramel.
- After you have opened and cut all of the caramels preheat oven to 350* degrees then cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place a layer of pretzels on the prepared baking sheet then top each pretzel with one Caramel square. (My pan holds 70 which works out because that is exactly how many the boys left during the unwrapping and cutting stage.)
- Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the partial treats for four minutes at 350* degrees. After four minutes, check the caramels to see if they have softened. They will need to be soft & sticky enough to secure a Pretzel on top. If needed, return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional minute before checking them again. Mine typically require 5-6 minutes baking time; however, the time will vary depending on the oven (gas or electric).
