Caramel Apple Bars With Cake Mix Food

CARAMEL APPLE CAKE

Steps:

• Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in a large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
• Combine flour, baking powder,baking soda and salt.
• Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream making 3 dry and 2 liquid additions. Fold in apples and skor Bits. Spread batter evenley in greased 13x9 cake pan.
• combine all topping ingredients, mixing until crumbly.
• Sprinkle evenly over batter.
• Bake at 350F for 35-40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Steps:

• In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and brown sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add flour, oats, salt and baking soda; mix well. If desired, stir in pecans. Set aside 2 cups. Press remaining oat mixture into an ungreased 13x9-in. baking pan. , For filling, toss apples with flour; spoon over the crust. In a saucepan, melt the caramels and butter over low heat; drizzle over apples. Top with the reserved oat mixture. , Bake at 400° until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting into bars.

CARAMEL-APPLE BARS WITH CAKE MIX

Steps:

• Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
• Place cake mix in a bowl and cut in butter with 2 knives or a pastry blender. Stir in 1/2 cup evaporated milk, then apples. Pour 1/2 of the batter into the prepared pan and set remaining batter aside.
• Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
• While bottom bar layer is baking, combine caramel candies and 1/2 cup evaporated milk in a saucepan over low heat; cook and stir until melted. Remove from the heat.
• Remove the baking pan from the oven and drizzle caramel mixture over top. Sprinkle with cinnamon chips and pour reserved batter over top. Return to the oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 20 to 30 more minutes.
