BUTTER PIE CRUST

Steps:
- Pulse the flour, salt and sugar in a food processor. Add about one-third of the butter; process until the butter is combined. Pulse in the remaining butter in 5 or 6 pulses to form coarse crumbs. Add the vinegar; pulse quickly a few times while adding 1/3 cup ice water. Squeeze some dough between your fingers. It should just hold its shape; if it's still crumbly, quickly pulse in more ice water by the tablespoonful. (Do not overwork the dough.)
- Turn the dough out onto a large piece of plastic wrap. Wrap the dough, then press and flatten into a thin round. Refrigerate 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into an 11-to-12-inch round, about 1/8 inch thick, on a lightly floured surface. Center over a 9-inch pie plate. Fold in the edges and crimp as desired. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before using.
BUTTERY CRUNCH CRUST
This tasty crust can be made for any type of custard or cream pie. In fact, it goes well with anything. It can be made with coconut or chopped nuts. Pecans or walnuts work best. Delicious! A special treat!

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together pecans, sugar, and flour. Stir in melted butter or margarine. Reserve 1/2 of the mixture for topping the pie, then press the rest evenly into a 9 inch pie pan.
- Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown. Allow crust to cool before filling.

BUTTER CRUNCH PIE CRUST
An easy pie crust made with pecans or walnuts. This is from a church cookbook submitted by a friend of my grandma's, Ida Mae.

Steps:
- Mix flour, sugar and nuts.
- Cut in the butter with a pastry blender until the texture of coarse crumbs.
- Spread in a 9x13 pan.
- bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and stir with a spoon.
- Reserve 3/4 cup of mixture for topping if desired and immediately press the remaining into a 9 inch pie plate.
- Cool.

Steps:
- Measure peanut butter and corn syrup into mixing bowl, mix until thoroughly combined.
- Add Rice Krispies cereal; stir until well coated.
- With back of spoon, press mixture evenly and firmly in bottom and around sides of lightly buttered 9-inch pie pan to form crust.
- Chill until firm.
- Spread ice cream evenly in chilled crust. Freeze until firm.
- Cut into wedges to serve.

- Mix cracker crumbs, peanuts, 1/4 cup of the sugar and the butter; press firmly onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate.
- Beat cream cheese, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, the peanut butter and milk in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping. Pour into crust.
- Refrigerate several hours or until chilled. Cut into 8 slices. Store leftover pie in refrigerator.
