Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9 by 9 inch baking pan by spraying with nonstick spray, and then lining with parchment paper leaving excess hanging over two sides of the pan.
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium low heat. Remove from the heat. Stir in sugar and chocolate chips. Stir until the mixture is smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing between additions. Then add vanilla extract, and coffee extract (optional).
- In a separate bowl, mix cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the saucepan, and mix together. Do not over mix. When there are still a few small lumps of unmixed flour and cocoa powder visible, stop mixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 32-38 minutes. The top should look shiny and a little bit crackled.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely (this will take several hours), and then lift them out of the pan using the parchment paper. Cut into bars. A plastic knife if the best tool for cutting brownies!

MMM-MMM BETTER BROWNIES
I personally think these are the best brownies in the world. Try them, I think you'll agree! To make the brownies rich and buttery, use melted butter instead of the vegetable oil.

HERSHEY'S BEST BROWNIES (9-INCH SQUARE)
This was really good made with dark cocoa. I sprayed the pan with non-stick spray then lined the bottom only with sprayed parchment paper cut to fit the bottom of the pan, which made it so easy to remove the brownies from the pan.

ABSOLUTELY BEST BROWNIES
This are the easiest and most delicious brownies that I have ever eaten. They are so moist and super quick and easy to make. For best results, use a Dutch processed cocoa. For less cake-like brownies, use all-purpose flour instead of self rising.

MOM'S COCOA POWDER BROWNIES
Oooey, Gooey, Rich and Chewy. If you are a fan of cake-like brownies, these are NOT for you. This makes a small pan of brownies that are moist and dense and need no icing. They form a crust that cracks and is a wonderful contrast to the fudgy texture of the brownie. Like all other basic brownie recipes, these are a great base for adding in chunks of chocolate, nuts, or whatever. As an adult, I like them with a 1/2 tsp of espresso powder added. For the brownie purist, the nuts are strictly optional. When I'm having one of those "must have chocolate" days, these are the perfect fix. After 1 brownie, I'm cured.

- Preheat the oven to 350°F / 175°C (in the video stands 375°F but this is a typo, 350°F are correct). Line a 9x13–inch* (23 x 33–cm) baking pan with parchment paper with an overhang around the sides and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, white and brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla just until combined, about 1 minute. Then, sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt and stir just to combine, another minute. Add 1 cup of the chopped chocolate bars and whisk to combine.
- Transfer the brownie batter to the prepared baking pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate bars evenly on top. Bake for 23-30 minutes, or until the brownies don’t jiggle anymore when the pan is moved and they are just set to touch. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out slightly dirty with a few crumbs attached to it. The time varies from oven to oven, so check the first time after 20 minutes and then frequently until they are done.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 15-20 minutes—the brownies will continue to bake in the pan. Then, carefully lift them out of the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting. Cut into 15 bars and store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
