2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
4 cups chopped broccoli
1 large mango, peeled and cubed
½ cup cashews
1 small red onion, cut into thin wedges
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained

Steps:

  • Combine ranch dressing, orange juice, and horseradish in a bowl; mix well and set aside.
  • Toss together the chopped broccoli, cubed mango, cashews, and wedged onion in a salad bowl. Pour the dressing over the broccoli mixture; toss to coat. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. Add the drained oranges to the salad just before serving.

2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon cumin seed
2 teaspoons garlic paste
2 teaspoons oil
2 medium tomatoes, washed and sliced
1/2 cup fresh parsley, washed and chopped
1 cup lettuce, washed and shredded
1 mango, washed and diced
2 small dried red chilies, crushed
1 teaspoon honey
1/2 cup lime juice
1 teaspoon dried lime, powder

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a non-stick wok.
  • Add garlic paste and saute for a few seconds.
  • Add cumin, cayenne pepper, thyme and oregano.
  • Saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add broccoli.
  • Saute for 4 minutes.
  • Transfer to a dish.
  • Add tomatoes, lettuce and parsley.
  • Toss everything together to mix.
  • Keep aside.
  • Now prepare the mango dressing by putting all the ingredients listed under it in a blender and processing until smooth.
  • Pour this delicious orange dressing over the green salad.
  • Serve.

It is a Huge hit at BBQ's, in fact everyone always wants a copy of the recipe.A friend sudgested I make copies of the recipe when I take it to gatherings. Great Idea! The best part about this recipe is you get a lil bit of something in every bite! That is why it is so important to cut your veggie's up into small bite size pieces. I also only use 1/4 to 1/2 cup of fresh green onions

5 cups broccoli (cut up in small pieces the size of a nickle to a quarter. Do not use the stems.)
5 cups cauliflower (do the same as for broccolli)
2/3 cup onion (or green onions)
2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
6 pieces cooked bacon
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar

Steps:

  • Mix all the veggies together.
  • You can add the dressing at this time.
  • Add your cheese, bacon,sunflower seeds and raisins just before you serve the dish or atleast within an hour of serving it.
  • Mix all together.

1 lb broccoli florets, raw
1 mango
2 medium tomatoes
1/2 c coconut flakes (unsweetened)
1/4 c cashew nuts
2 chicken breast halves, skinless and boneless
1 tsp honey
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 Tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
1 tsp virgin coconut oil
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Put broccoli florets, dijon mustard, honey, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar and 4 tablespoons olive oil into a food processor.
  • 2. Carefully pulse until broccoli is finely shredded (alternatively very finely chop broccoli, season with salt, and make dressing from mustard, honey, vinegar and olive oil)
  • 3. Add diced mango, tomatoes.
  • 4. Cut chicken breast halves into thin slices, about 1 inch long and 1/8 inch thin. Fry in coconut oil until nice and brown, season with salt and pepper to taste, set aside.
  • 5. Add coconut chips or flakes and cashews to the slaw.
  • 6. Mix cooled, but still luke warm meat into the salad, let stand at room temperature for half an hour and serve.

1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1/8 teaspoon salt
5 cups fresh broccoli florets and cut-up stems (1 small bunch)
2 ripe medium mangoes, peeled, seed removed and diced (1 1/2 cups)
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion

Steps:

  • Lightly spray 8-inch skillet with cooking spray. Add sugar and ground red pepper; mix well. Stir in pecans. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until sugar mixture is melted and pecans are coated. Remove from heat; set aside to cool.
  • In small bowl, mix dressing ingredients with wire whisk until smooth. In large bowl, mix salad ingredients.
  • Add dressing to salad; toss gently to mix. Just before serving, stir in pecans. Cover and refrigerate any remaining salad.
