This baked brie puff pastry is rich, creamy, and dessert-like. It always disappears. I'm always asked for the recipe. Raspberry preserves goes great in this as well. Bringing in 2012 I made this using Recipe #463563!

0.5 (17 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 (8 ounce) package brie cheese, round
1/8 cup toasted almond, slices (optional)
1/4 cup raspberry preserves or 1/4 cup your favorite preserves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425.
  • Lightly grease cookie sheet.
  • Roll puff pastry out slightly.
  • Place cheese wheel on top (leave rind on).
  • Place preserves on top of cheese.
  • Place almonds on top of preserves.
  • Bundle Puff Pastry up and around the cheese.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  • Let cool for five minutes.
  • Serve with your favorite crackers.

This baked brie is a delicious addition to any party hors d'oeuvres.

1 cup pecan halves
3/4 cup packed dark-brown sugar
All-purpose flour, for dusting
2 standard packages (17 1/4 ounces) frozen puff pastry, thawed
1 wheel (2.2 pounds) brie
1 large egg yolk
2 tablespoons heavy cream

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, combine pecans and sugar, using your fingertips to thoroughly mix; set aside. Line a baking sheet with a Silpat (French nonstick baking mat) or parchment paper; set aside.
  • Lightly dust work surface with flour. Place 2 sheets (one box) of puff pastry on the work surface one on top of the other. Using a rolling pin, adhere the 2 pieces of the puff pastry together. Continue rolling puff pastry until it is very thin, slightly less than 1/8 inch thick. Using a pastry wheel or a sharp knife, cut the puff pastry into a 13-inch round, reserving scraps for decorating.
  • Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry. Top the brie with pecan mixture, spreading to within 1/2 inch of the edge of the cheese. Be sure to remove any sugar or nuts from the puff pastry, as they may cause holes to form during baking. Fold puff pastry up and over brie to enclose. The center of the brie will not be completely covered with pastry. Transfer to prepared baking sheet.
  • Lightly dust work surface with flour. Repeat rolling and cutting process with remaining 2 sheets of puff pastry. Drape pastry over the brie, tucking the edges under to enclose.
  • In a small bowl, combine egg yolk and cream to make an egg wash. Cut reserved scraps of puff pastry into decorative shapes. Using a pastry brush, gently brush the decorative shapes with the egg wash, and adhere to wrapped brie. Brush the wrapped brie evenly with the egg wash. Transfer to refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes and up to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake brie until golden brown and puffed, about 30 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake until dark golden brown, 25 to 35 minutes more.

1 sheet puff pastry ((defrosted - and rolled out))
8 ounces brie wheel
4 tablespoons prune spread ((or any jam you like))
3 tablespoons pecans ((or any nut)
1 egg ((plus 2 tablespoons milk for egg wash - this is optional))
3 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon pecans ((optional topping))

Steps:

  • Take puff pastry sheet out of freezer at least 40 minutes before starting. When puff pastry has defrosted, either take a rolling pin to smooth it out or leave as is.
  • Preheat oven to 375 F. Cover a small jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
  • Lay puff pastry flat on the jelly roll pan.
  • Unwrap wheel of brie and place it in the middle of the pastry.
  • Slather jam on brie and sprinkle pecans on top. Pull ends of pastry up over the brie and seal it as best you can.
  • For the egg wash, crack egg in bowl, add two tablespoons of milk and whisk until combined.
  • Take a pastry brush and paint the egg on the pastry.
  • Bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
  • Place brie on serving dish and sprinkle more pecans on top. Pour as much maple syrup on top.
  • Gather crackers or bread for the brie and cut the cheese in half.

Rich and creamy STUFFED Baked Brie in Puff Pastry is a luxuriously, can't-stop-eating, won't -stop-pleasing appetizer with minimal effort! This Baked Brie will disappear in a flash leaving nothing but guests clamoring for the recipe!

1 (12-14 oz.) wheel brie (rind on)
1 sheet frozen puff pastry ((from 17.3 oz. pkg.))
1/4 cup chopped craisins
1/3 cup whole pecans
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 egg beaten with 1 teaspoon water
3/4 cup fresh cranberries
1/4 cup red pepper jelly
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons pineapple juice (may sub water)

Steps:

  • Remove pastry from freezer to begin thawing (it should take around 40 minutes - check package for thawing instructions).
  • Freeze brie for 20 minutes to make slicing easier. After brie has been in the freezer 20 minutes, remove and slice equally through the equator.
  • Add all of the Pepper Jelly Cranberry Sauce Ingredients to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, stirring often, until thickened (you want it quite thick). Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature (you can refrigerate to speed up the process).
  • Meanwhile, melt butter with brown sugar in a skillet over medium heat. Add pecans and cook, stirring often until golden, about 2-3 minutes. Transfer to parchment paper until cool enough to chop.
  • Lay the two brie halves next to each other, cut side up. Spoon a generous amount of Cranberry Sauce over the left piece of brie (approximately 1/4-/1/3 cup) and spread into an even layer (you might not use all of the sauce). Evenly top with chopped craisins followed by chopped pecans. Top the loaded brie with the right piece, cut side down so the rind is on the outside. Set aside.
  • Lay thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and lightly dust with flour. Roll into a square approximately 11x11 inches. Place stuffed brie in the center of the puff pastry. Brush egg wash on puff pastry all around brie.
  • Fold one edge of the dough over the brie and brush the top with egg wash. Fold up the opposite side then brush top dough with egg wash. Repeat with remaining edges until the brie is completely encased, trimming off excess dough edges if necessary. You can use excess dough to make decorations to place on top of brie if desired. Press the dough together to make sure it is snug and sealed all around. Brush the top and sides of the wrapped brie with egg wash.
  • Place the brie in the freezer for one hour - DON'T SKIP this step! After 45 minutes, preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the brie on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes OR until it is golden and you can see it leaking a little cheese. Let cool 10 minutes before servings with crackers, fruit, etc.

1 package store-bought puff pastry sheet
2 tablespoon (30 ml) fig jam
4 slices of Brie Cheese
1 egg, well beaten
¼ cup (60 ml) chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400F(200C)
  • Roll out pastry onto a flat cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. This will be your work surface.
  • Most store-bough puff pastry sheets come in 3-folded panels. This is the best kind to buy for this. Unfold and the panels and roll out slightly.
  • On the center panel, spread fig jam to cover the center panel surface. Then top the jam with the sliced brie.
  • On the side panels, cut ¾ " (19 mm) strips on each side making sure you have equal number of strips on each side.
  • Then alternating the strips, bring them to the center panel, to cover the jam and cheese, overlapping each one, forming a rustic braid.
  • Before baking brush the egg wash with a pastry brush all over the braid and bake for 25 mins until puffed up and golden brown.
  • Transfer braid to a cutting board. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and serve with knife for easy slicing.

Baked Brie has a warm, creamy texture that is nothing less than irresistible and destined to become a family favorite! This delicious appetizer is simple to make and enjoy as a snack, but definitely fancy enough to impress guests.

1, 12-14 ounce Wheel of Brie (rind on)
1 sheet Puff Pastry
1/3 cup Candied Pecans
1/3 cup Mixed Berry Jam
1 Egg (Beaten with a teaspoon of water)

Steps:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out Puff Pastry to an 11x11" round and place on baking sheet.
  • Slice wheel of brie lengthwise to create two wheels. Place bottom brie wheel, rind down, on the puff pastry. Spoon jam over the bottom half of the brie wheel and add candied pecans. Place the second half of the brie, rind side up, on top of the jam and pecans.
  • Brush egg wash around the puff pastry, then carefully begin to fold pastry around the brie until all sides are covered and brie is sealed. Trim away any excess dough and then brush the outside with remaining egg wash.
  • Place baking sheet in the freezer for an hour, then preheat your oven to 425 degrees. After an hour in the freezer, transfer baking sheet to oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until puff pastry is golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes, then serve and enjoy!

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Divide puff pastry sheet into eight equal squares. Slot into a greased mini tart baking tray.
  • Fill each tart with 1-1½ tsp of chutney, then top with a cube of cheese.
  • Briefly drizzle some honey over the cheese and top with a pinch of rosemary - about 2-3 needles per pastry.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and the puff pastry has been cooked through.
  • Rest for 5-10 minutes before removing from the baking tray.
