BUTTER PARMESAN BAKED SCALLOPS
These buttery scallops are dipped in a mixture of butter and garlic first and then baked in Panko and Parmesan coating. It takes less than 30 minutes.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 425°.
- Mix melted butter, salt, and pressed garlic in a small bowl and set it aside.
- Mix Panko bread crumbs and grated Parmesan cheese in another shallow bowl and set it aside.
- Take scallops out of the package and pat each one dry with a paper towel.
- Toss scallops in the melted butter mixture and then coat each one in Panko/Parmesan mixture on all sides.
- Place coated scallops in a baking dish that's large enough to hold them with some space in between each one.
- Carefully pour in remaining melted butter in between and around the scallops. (Don't pour on top.)
- Sprinkle each scallop with some Parmesan cheese and bake for 10-14 minutes, depending on the size.

BREADED AND FRIED SCALLOPS
Steps:
- Mix bread crumbs, salt, and pepper in a resealable plastic bag.
- Whisk egg lightly in a bowl. Dip scallops in egg; place in the bread crumb mixture in the bag. Seal bag and shake until scallops are coated with bread crumbs.
- Bring butter, olive oil, and lemon juice to a simmer in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add breaded scallops; cook, shaking skillet occasionally, until browned, 6 to 7 minutes.

AIR FRYER BREADED SEA SCALLOPS
Steps:
- Preheat the air fryer to 390 degrees F (198 degrees C).
- Mix cracker crumbs, garlic powder, and seafood seasoning together in a shallow bowl. Place melted butter in a second shallow bowl.
- Dip each scallop in the melted butter and then roll in the breading until completely coated. Set on a plate and repeat with the remaining scallops.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange scallops in the prepared basket so that they are not touching each other; you may need to work in batches.
- Cook in the preheated air fryer for 2 minutes. Turn scallops over gently with a small spatula and cook until opaque, about 2 more minutes.

- If the scallops are frozen, thaw them overnight in the refrigerator. Then, place the scallops in a colander in the sink and run cold water over them for 4-5 minutes until completely thawed. (See notes.)
- Remove the side muscle from each scallop, as it will be tough. (See photo in post.) Look carefully for any specks of sand to scrape off the scallops.
- Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and let them rest on a couple layers of paper towels to continue drying as you proceed with the recipe.
- Move your oven rack to the top position and preheat your broiler. (Use a medium setting of 500 degrees F, if possible. Otherwise use the standard high setting.) Line a sheet pan with foil. Grease the foil with cooking spray.
