ADELE'S DOG BISCUITS (BREAD MACHINE)

Steps:

• Place all ingredients in your bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select the dough or manual cycle and press start.
• Stop the machine 5 minutes after the first kneading has gotten fully underway. Turn the dough out onto a floured board; dust board as needed to prevent sticking.
• Let the dough rest about 10 or 15 minute Then choose your method: 1. Roll 1/2" thick and cut out shapes 2. Pull off small (or large) lumps and "mold" bone shapes with your hands.
• Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes on a vegetable-spray or parchment covered baking sheet.
• Let them cool & dry out overnight. This is how they stay crunchy. Store in airtight container.

DOG BISCUITS

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. Combine flour, wheat germ and cinnamon. Stir in remaining ingredients. On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut with a 3-in. bone-shaped cookie cutter., Place 2 in. apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until bottoms are lightly browned (tops may crack), 30-35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Store in an airtight container.

BEST BREAD MACHINE BREAD DOUGH

Steps:

• Add ingredients to bread machine in order given, bake.
• For a traditional loaf, use the dough cyle, then shape dough into a loaf, place in bread pan.
• Let rise until doubled. Time will depend on the warmth of your kitchen, 33-45 minutes Bake 30-40 min's at 350.
• For brown bread, use 2cups white and 1 cup brown flour.

MILK BONE DOG BISCUITS

Steps:

• In large bowl pour hot water over the margarine. Stir in powdered milk, salt, and egg. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time. Knead for a few minutes to form stiff dough. Pat or roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into bone shapes. Bake at 325 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool. They will dry out quite hard. Makes about 1 1/4 pounds of biscuits. Costs around 30 cents per pound.
• Variation: increase margarine to 1/2 cup and add 2 teaspoons sugar.

BREAD MAKER ANGEL BISCUITS

Steps:

• Put in bread machine in order given.
• Process on dough setting of your bread machine.
• When dough is ready roll to 1/2 inch thick.
• Cut out with rim of glass.
• Place on buttered cookie sheet and let rise till double in bulk.
• Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.

Steps:

• Mix all the ingredients together, put in bread machine, and follow the directions of your bread machine to process the dough. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out with rim of glass. Place on buttered cookie sheet and let rise until they double in size, about 2 hours. Bake at 425°F for 15 minutes or until lightly brown.

BREAD MACHINE DOG BISCUITS

Steps:

• Place ingredients in bread machine according to manufacturer's directions.
• Press"dough" cycle or mix and kneed like any other dough.
• Prepare cookie sheets by greasing and sprinkling with corn meal.
• When machine beeps, remove dough to lightly floured countertop and with a rolling pin roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness.
• Using dog bone cookie cutter (or any other favorite shape), cup out dog biscuits.
• Place on prepared cookie sheet.
• Re-roll scraps and repeat till all dough is used up.
• Place in warm location and let rise for 30 minutes.
• Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes, until brown and no longer soft.
• Place on rack to cool and store in an airtight container.
