PAN FRIED TILAPIA WITH BONEFISH GRILL'S CHIMICHURRI SAUCE



Pan Fried Tilapia with Bonefish Grill's Chimichurri Sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 14

4 Tilapia Fillets
Bbq seasoning
salt and fresh ground black pepper
2 tsp olive oil
Bonefish Grill Chimichurri Sauce
8 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp. plus Kosher Salt
1 tsp. oregano, dry leaves
1 tsp. black pepper, ground
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
Finely grated lemon zest from 3 lemons
4 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 bunch flat leaf (Italian) parsley
1 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Pan Fried TilapiaSprinkle each fish fillet on both sides with bbq seasoning, salt and fresh ground pepper.Add 2 tsp olive oil into preheated pan over medium high heat. Place tilapia into pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes. Carefully flip fish over and continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes or until fish looks cooked through (will be white and flaky in middle).Drizzle about 2 tablespoons of Chimichurri Sauce over each piece of fish. Serve with steamed veggies and enjoy!Chimichurri SauceCombine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse chop until all ingredients are approximately 1/8 inch in size. Add Italian parsley and pulse chop until parsley is 1/8 inch in size. Add the olive oil and blend in quickly. (Do not over blend)Allow the sauce to marinate for 30 minutes before serving.

3 lemons, zest of (finely grated)
4 ounces fresh lemon juice
1 bunch flat leaf parsley (Italian)
1 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse chop until all ingredients are approximately 1/8 inch in size.
  • Add Italian parsley and pulse chop until parsley is 1/8 inch in size.
  • Add the olive oil and blend in quickly. (Do not over blend).
  • Allow the sauce to marinate for 30 minutes before serving.

A rich, classic sauce for fish and poultry. I found this recipe at their online site. I love their lemon butter sauce.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tablespoon fresh garlic, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh shallot, chopped
2 tablespoons white wine (preferably Chablis)
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 lb unsalted butter, cold
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • Place the first 4 ingredients, into a sauce pan and simmer over medium high heat until the volume is reduced by half. Reduce heat to low.
  • Now slowly begin adding the pieces of cold butter (in ¼ inch squares), whisking continuously after each addition to maintain a smooth consistency.
  • Add salt and strain sauce into a small pan to remove any solids. Sauce should be creamy and smooth. Serve immediately.

1 cup fresh parsley leaves
1 shallot, coarsely chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 lb boneless top sirloin steak

Steps:

  • In a food processor, combine parsley, shallot, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, 1/4 t. each of the salt and pepper. Pulse until combined; set aside.
  • Heat a gas grill to medium-high heat or prepare a charcoal grill with medium-hot coals. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 t. each salt and pepper over steak. Grill about 8 minutes per side.
  • Remove steak from grill and place in a glass baking dish; spread the sauce over top and cover dish with foil; allow to sit for 5 minutes. Remove steak from dish and slice. Serve with sauce remaining in baking dish.

I grew up in Panama and one of my favorite restaraunts was 'La Estancia'. Their specialty was the famous Argentinean 'Churrascos' that were grilled on a fire pit and were served with Chimichurri. This recipe is the closest to what they served. I found this recipe at Glenna Anderson Muse's blog A FRIDGE FULL OF FOOD AND NOTHING TO EAT. Enjoy!

2 cups fresh flat-leaf parsley
4 -5 garlic cloves
1 lemon, juice and zest of
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt (or to taste)
1/3 cup olive oil
1/4 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

Steps:

  • Trim the parsley.
  • Peel garlic.
  • Process lightly in food processor.
  • Combine with rest of ingredients, using enough olive oil to make sauce liquid enough to be saucey but not runny.
  • Add hot sauce to preferred taste.

This is a sauce from Churasco's, a local restaurant here in Houston that serves South American fare. At the restaurant this is served at the table with plantain chips as an appetizer and is also used to marinade their signature steaks with. It's good with other grilled meats, salmon,poultry, hot pasta, and to dress green salads. It's such a popular item that the Cordu'a brothers bottle it to sell in grocery stores.

1/4 cup minced ginger
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 cup ketchup
1 cup oyster sauce
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons coarsely chopped cilantro

Steps:

  • In a medium sauce pan, sautee the minced ginger in the olive oil until fragrant.
  • In a bowl, thoroughly combine the soy sauce, ketchup, oyster sauce, lemon juice and water and add to sauté pan.
  • Bring the mixture to a slow boil, then slowly add sugar over low-med heat for about 5 minutes.
  • If desired, add a little hot water to the sauce to thin it.
