Steps:
- Toast the bread in a toaster, or under a broiler on both sides. Cut the lettuce leaves in half crosswise and form into 8 neat stacks.
- To make a double-decker club: On a clean work surface, arrange 3 bread slices in a row. Spread 1 tablespoon mayonnaise over 1 side of each bread slice. Place a lettuce stack on top of the first bread slice, top with 2 tomato slices, and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Place 2 slices bacon over the tomatoes (broken to fit neatly if necessary) and top with 1/8 of the turkey (without letting any hang over the sides). Season the turkey with salt and pepper, to taste. Repeat with the second bread slice. Carefully place the second layered bread slice on top of the first layered bread, turkey side-up. Cover with the third bread slice, mayonnaise side-down.
- Pin the sandwich's layers together by piercing them with 4 frill picks or cocktail swords through the top bread slice, in 4 places in a diamond-like pattern, all the way to the bottom bread slice. Repeat entire process with the remaining ingredients to form 3 more sandwiches.
- Using a serrated knife cut each sandwich, diagonally, into 4 triangular pieces (each piece should be secured in the center with a pick or sword). Serve with potato chips and pickles.
BLT
The basic classic: bacon, lettuce, and tomato -- nothing fancy, just delicious. (I personally use fake vegetarian bacon these days, and it's still really good!)

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a rack on top. Arrange the bacon on the rack in a single layer. Bake until browned and crisp, 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool, then break the bacon in half.
- Meanwhile place the eggs in a large saucepan and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Boil for about 30 seconds, then turn off the heat, cover the pan and let stand 20 minutes. Drain, add cold water and let stand in the cold water for 5 minutes. Drain, peel the eggs and chop.
- Combine the eggs with the mayonnaise, onion, relish, Dijon, paprika, celery, 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste in a bowl. Stir, mashing the eggs slightly, until very well combined. Season with additional salt and pepper.
- Lay out 4 slices of toast and top evenly with half of the egg salad, bacon, lettuce and tomato. Sprinkle the tomato with salt. Add another piece of toast to each and top with the remaining ingredients. Close the sandwiches with the last 4 pieces of toast. Use a sharp knife to trim the crusts from the sandwiches; cut in half diagonally.

CLASSIC BLT SANDWICH
This is a sandwich that I crave a lot. I am just posting it because I couldn't find it posted already on the Zaar...I couldn't believe that! My ex-DH wondered how I make these, so I decided to post it and send him the recipe. Nothing fancy -- just the real, simple, unabridged version. UPDATE: After reading Peg629's review, I have tried it that way, with one slice of toast spread with yellow mustard, and I must say it really, really makes an exceptional BLT! Such a subtle difference, yet genuinely makes a superior BLT, in my opinion! (Thank you Peg629 for that awesome suggestion!)

Steps:
- Cook bacon until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
- Toast the 8 slices of bread.
- Spread 1 tablespoon mayo on each slice of toasted bread. (More or less, to taste).
- Add 1 slice of lettuce to 4 pieces of mayo-spreaded toast.
- Add 2 slices of tomato on top of lettuce.
- Arrange 3 slices of bacon evenly on top of tomato. (Break bacon slices in half to fit, if needed.).
- Add 1 slice of lettuce on top of bacon.
- Put the remaining 4 pieces of mayo-spreaded toast on top to finish the sandwiches.
- Enjoy!
- NOTE: I also like to butter the toast slices before adding the mayo -- higher in fat, but tastier, in my opinion!
CLUB SANDWICH
A club sandwich is a thing of beauty. You can fancy it up with extra fillings like avocado, mustard, thinly sliced red onion, but you can also keep it simple. This double layer sandwich is definitely filling enough for dinner with a side of soup or some crispy chips.

Steps:
- Heat a frying pan over a medium heat. Add a drizzle of oil, then the bacon slices to the pan and fry for 5-10 minutes, turning the bacon every so often, until it is crisp and browned all over. Transfer to a plate lined with kitchen paper.
- Slice the chicken breast horizontally in two, so you have two thinner pieces. Season with salt and pepper, then fry the chicken in the hot bacon fat over a medium-high heat until they are browned and completely cooked through.
- Meanwhile, toast the bread to your liking. Spread each slice with a teaspoon of mayonnaise. Build the sandwich by adding lettuce leaves and tomato slices to the bottom piece of toast, season with salt and black pepper, then top with a slice of the crisp hot bacon.
- Slice each large piece of chicken breast into 4 or 5 equal pieces on a diagonal so they are easy to spread across the sandwich.
- Place the second piece of toast on top, then repeat the layering again finishing with the final piece of toast. Cut the sandwich diagonally in both directions to create 4 triangles, securing each with a cocktail stick.

Steps:
- Place a griddle or skillet over medium-low heat. Add bacon and place a bacon press, skillet, or masonry trowel on top of it to keep it flat as it cooks. Cook until lightly browned on first side, about 5 minutes, then flip, cover again, and continue cooking until bacon is browned on both sides and fat has rendered, about 3 minutes longer. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
- Place bread on same skillet or griddle and toast in bacon fat over medium-low heat, swirling occasionally, until evenly browned on first side. Flip and brown second side.
- Lay toasted bread on a work surface and spread mayonnaise on both top faces. Divide lettuce evenly between both pieces of bread. Layer tomato slices on 1 piece of bread and sprinkle generously with coarse salt and freshly ground pepper.
- Break bacon slices in half and layer them onto the sandwich in 2 layers of 3 half slices each, alternating the orientation of bacon in each layer for more structural stability. Close sandwich and cut in half diagonally. Serve immediately.
