- In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of warm water to a gentle boil.
- In a small bowl, add Beef Base and ¼ cup warm water, whisk until base dissolves; set aside.
- Reduce heat on stove to medium; pour base-water mixture into saucepan, whisk to combine.
- In another small bowl, add corn starch and cold water, whisk to combine.
- Slowly add cornstarch slurry into saucepan, cook and whisk until gravy thickens, about 2 minutes. Season with pepper.
"BETTER THAN BOUILLON" GRAVY
I found this recipe on youtube......For times when you don't have meat drippings, this makes a nice, smooth gravy without all the "junk" added to jar gravy or gravy mixes. (I like to make the beef gravy, then heat meatballs in it, and add a little sour cream for a nice "comfort food" to serve over noodles.) "Better than Bouillon" can be found in your grocery near the soup bases or the chicken or beef broth.

- Measure 4 cups of water into saucepan and heat at med-high to gentle boil.
- While waiting for water in saucepan to boil, whisk together 1/4 cup water with 2 1/2 T Better Than Bouillon in a bowl until smooth. Whisk this mixture into the boiling water, stir while bringing to a gentle boil again. Reduce heat to low.
- Mix the corn starch with 1/2 cup COLD water in a bowl or large measuring cup. Whisk well until the corn starch is thoroughly dissolved. Gently pour the cornstarch mixture into the saucepan, adding a little bit at a time while you continue to whisk. Increase heat and whisk for 2 minutes until thickened. Add pepper to taste.
VEGETARIAN GRAVY
The best Vegetarian Gluten Free Gravy I have ever made. After trying many recipes I came up with this one. We love it you can also make it a chicken gravy just change the Better Than Bouillon, No Beef Base to No Chicken Base. Enjoy!!!

- Better Than Bouillon No Beef Base broth stir in 1 tsp Better Than Bouillon, No Beef Base into 1 cup hot water. set aside.
- Whisk the butter and flour together over low heat in a small saucepan for 2-3 minutes until the flour is golden brown.
- Add the water and Better Than Bouillon No Beef Base broth, Bragg liquid aminos, and pepper and 1/2 tsp Better Than Bouillon, No Beef Base. Bring to a boil while whisking often to keep it smooth.
- Lower heat and simmer a minute or so.
- Combine cornstarch and 2 tbsp water and stir well to get rid of lumps. Whisking gravy briskly, pour into saucepan. Continue whisking until gravy returns to a boil and has thickened.

OPEN FACED TURKEY AND GRAVY SANDWICHES

- Prepare the gravy by adding light butter and diced onions to a hot skillet. Cook over medium heat together until the onions are softened (about 3-4 minutes). Stir flour in and continue cooking for about 1 minutes or until the flour is golden. Slowly whisk in water followed by stock concentrate. Bring to boil and cook until thickened (about 2-3 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and then into 3 even sections. Open it and lay it on a sheet pan for 6 "open faced faced sandwiches". Then, spray with a little cooking spray and sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Then add about 2.5 ounces of turkey to each slice of bread. Place into oven and cook for about 6-8 minutes or until turkey is warm and bread is lightly toasted.*You can also toss the turkey into the gravy before adding to the bread and then top with remaining gravy after its out of the oven. Both ways are tasty!
- Top with gravy and serve warm. Enjoy!
