Steps:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, lime juice, Simple Syrup and orange liqueur. Cover and shake until mixed and chilled, about 30 seconds. (In general, the drink is ready by the time the shaker mists up.) Place Lime-salt-sugar on a plate. Press the rim of a chilled rocks or wine glass into the mixture to rim the edge. Strain margarita into the glass.
- Put the sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. (Alternatively, heat in the microwave.) Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
- Blend together lime, salt and sugar in a small blender or mini food chopper.

BEST MARGARITA EVER!!!
This is the best margarita you'll ever taste and you will never go back to using a mixer again. Note: This margarita is not exactly the "traditional margarita" It has some complexities that are slightly different. If the beer makes you worried, remember, you should not use a whole beer, only a third, it simply gives the margarita a lighter body. If you taste beer in the margarita you have added far too much, or used too heavy a beer. Feel free to sub the lemonade concentrate with limeade concentrate. I have found that limeade makes the drink too tart, but to each his (her) own...

Estimated Reading Time 2 mins
- Squeeze it. The single most important ingredient is fresh lime juice. Use any gadget you like--just please don't twist open a screw cap. For parties, juice the limes ahead and fill a squeeze bottle to keep at the ready.
- Sweeten up. Notice there's no triple sec in our recipe? That's not a typo--and no, you won't miss it. We prefer light agave syrup for its complementary flavors (and shared origin) with tequila.
- Go for silver. Always drink tequila made from 100 percent blue agave. It just tastes better. In Margaritas, use only blanco (a.k.a. silver or white) tequilas, which have a peppery, vegetal kick that won't get buried when mixed.
- Take it with a grain of... Salt brings out the flavor in everything, but too much can be overwhelming. So we only salt halfway around the rim and are careful not to get any in the drink.
