Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Cut pork ribs into sections of 3 or 4 bones.
- Mix remaining ingredients well, sprinkle on both sides of ribs and rub into the meat.
- Seal rib sections in foil with a tablespoon of water in each package, and bake for 2 hours on a cookie sheet in the center of the oven.
- Open foil carefully as steam escapes.
- Can be crisped on a hot BBQ if desired but will be great just the way it is.
- (Enjoy with oven cooked potato nuggets for a really simple meal).
BBQ DRY RUB PORK RIBS
Steps:
- Turn barbecue on low, and if you have a four burner grill, only use the outer burners.
- To prepare the ribs, peel the membrane off the back of the ribs.
- Rub the dry rub seasoning onto the top of the pork. Really rub it in good. To check that the rub is sticking well, turn the pork to the side and if the rub falls off, continue rubbing it into the pork.
- Let it set for a about 20 minutes that way the rub has a chance to stick.
- The tip to great pork ribs is grilling on low and cooking slow. 275°-300° is a perfect temperature to grill these ribs.
- Grill for a couple hours and then check the internal temperature to make sure it's at least 170°.
- Continue grilling until desired cooking temperature is reached.
- Remove and enjoy!
DRY RUBBED RIBS WITH VINEGAR BBQ SAUCE

Steps:
- Combine all of the ingredients in a small jar or bowl.
- Coat the ribs generously with the rub and refrigerate it for at least 12 hours. It will be better if refrigerated for 24 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
- Arrange the ribs on a sheet pan. Pour 1 beer into the bottom of the pan and cover the pan with foil, trying not to have the foil touch the meat. Put the ribs in the preheated oven and roast for 2 hours. Check the ribs after 1 hour and turn them over. Add more beer, if needed. Rotate the pan.
- After 2 hours, remove the foil and roast for 30 minutes more. Remove from the oven and cool.
- Sauce: (This can be done while the ribs are roasting.)
- Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes. The sauce will not be thick but it should be a homogeneous mixture and very well flavored. Turn off the heat and let cool.
- Preheat the grill to a medium-high heat.
- Arrange the ribs, meat side down, on the grill and grill until they start to get a little brown and charred, then brush with the sauce. Turn the ribs over, brush with the sauce and grill for 4 to 5 minutes. Brush with the sauce and again turn the ribs over. Grill for another 4 to 5 minutes. At this point the ribs should be nicely browned and really well flavored. Remove them from the grill to a cutting board. Cut the ribs apart and arrange on a serving platter. Serve with lots of napkins.
SMOKED RIBS WITH DRY RUB

Steps:
- Soak apple wood smoking chips in water, about 15 minutes. Set up a grill for indirect cooking over medium heat (leave one side with no heat source). Drain the wood chips. If using a gas grill, put the chips in a smoker box and place over the heat source; if using a charcoal grill, place the wet chips directly on top of the coals.
- Make the rub: Combine 1/4 cup salt, 2 tablespoons pepper, the garlic powder, oregano, celery seeds, paprika, chili powder and ancho chile powder in a bowl. Set aside about one-third of the mixture for sprinkling on the ribs when finished.
- Make the ribs: Combine the vinegar, lemon juice and 1/4 cup water in a spritzer bottle. This will be used for basting, which will keep the ribs moist and tender and help the rub stick.
- Rub the ribs all over with the remaining dry rub, then put them on the cooler side of the grill (not over direct heat; you want the ribs to cook low and slow). Cover and cook 2 hours and 30 minutes, spraying the ribs with the vinegar mixture two or three times throughout the cooking. When the ribs are just about done, give them a final spray and sprinkle liberally with the reserved dry rub so the finished ribs are coated with all that delicious flavor.

SPICEJUNKIE'S BBQ DRY RUB NO.14
I made this rub for my daughters 14th birthday, which is why I called it BBQ dry rub No.14. It gives pork a nice sweet flavor that goes well with all the other spices. This rub has a mild flavor and will not burn sensitive pallets. The light brown sugar gives a gentle sweetness to offset the other spices and is great on ribs or pork shoulder. For ribs sprinkle salt and pepper and refrigerate overnight. Larger cuts of meat can use more. For heat lovers, add 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (or any amount you like).

BBQ RIBS DRY RUB
This is a dry rub I've experimented with for a while. I put this on a couple racks of Pork ribs, marinaded overnight then cooked slow in my smoker. Wow did they turn out great! Wife and kids loved them. I put a homemade BBQ sauce on one rack and none on the other. Both were great but I think the one without sauce was better. Though this was cooked in a smoker, it could also be done in the oven or BBQ.

Steps:
- Mix together dry ingredients.
- Rub liberally all over the ribs on both sides. (For more flavor penetration, pull off membrane from the bone side of ribs).
- Cover with plastic wrap or vacuum seal bag and place in the refrigerator overnight.
- Heat smoker/cooker to at least 250°F and keep between 250-300°F.
- Pour 2 cups of the apple juice in water pan to steam the ribs with.
- Add soaked hardwood chips or smoking wood of your choice to the smoker.
- Amount of smoke is up to you.
- After about 3 hours, internal temperature of the meat should be around 170°F In order to make the meat a bit more tender, wrap the ribs in foil and spray or drizzle some remaining apple juice on the ribs, closing the foil around them until desired tenderness is achieved. Don't drown the ribs in juice but moisten them, about another hour or so.
- If sauce is desired, mop it on the ribs the last 30 minutes or so of cooking.

Steps:
- Wash rack of ribs, remove membrane on back, and pat dry with paper towel. You can either leave as a rack and thread onto a spit or cut into 2-3 rib sections.
- Mix all remaining ingredients until well blended. Rub the mix over both sides of ribs until it's all used up. I sometimes double the recipe to get a really good coating. You can either put in fridge overnight or grill at 350 F right away on bbq over indirect heat. The bbq acts more like an oven this way. The sugar will burn if you grill over direct flame.
- They will take an hour to cook through.
