Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
- Place sliced potatoes on bottom of baking dish.
- Combine garlic,lemon,wine,oil,and pour over fish.
- Arrange green peppers and onions over the fish.
- Bake uncovered at 350 F until fish is flaky.

BAKED FISH (PEIXE ASSADO)

Steps:
- Ask the fish merchant to slice the fish, but don't separate slices so that fish looks whole. Place the fish in a baking dish and season with salt and pepper. Surround fish with tomatoes and mushrooms. Mix together oil and white wine. Pour over the fish and bake in a hot oven at 400 degrees for 30 minutes, basting occasionally. Mix together cilantro and yellow onion. Remove fish from the oven and sprinkle with cilantro and onion mixture. Bake 10 minutes longer. Garnish with lemon wedges. Serve with buttery new potatoes with parsley.
